Hi. I went to hc last year and it did rain quit a bit, and the ground did indeed get quite soggy, but as long as you are very mindful of where you set up your tent it shouldn't be too bad. The only complaint i had was i didn't bring enough shorts and my pants got soaked from dragging the ground. The weather really didn't impact things enough to make me regret camping. You should always plan for it...and be pleasantly surprised when it doesn't. lol. I hope this is helpful.

i went last year as well and i would say just bring a good pair of boots ..bring lots of clothes to be  prepared..and bring other shoes that you're comfy hooping in. you can never have enough!!

You merely need a tarp to put on the ground.  There are not flooding issues in hoopcon like there was at Tfus.  I went last year to hoopcon and camped out fine.  Have fun!
