Randy, I participated only peripherally this year but I can relate to your sentiment here. Just took the last car load of hoopers to the airport and I'm now experiencing Empty Nest Syndrome. I definitely noticed you while I was at HoopCon and would love to stay connected. There are so many wonderful hoop gatherings happening nowadays and I expect many of us will have the opportunity to hoop together again. Next time I'll be sure to say a proper hello.

Hi Randy, we hooped beside each other a few times, but didn't 'properly' say hello either. So, Hi! I agree, and I've been carrying around HoopCon today with me. Hard to let it go... but the feathers in my head hair remind me, and I smile and smile.... I'd love to be your friend, I hope we'll hoop again together soon!

Yeah! I love that your feathers have such a great memory attached to them. My friends (from before HC, and made at HC) were doing the feathers and I'm sure they'll be happy to hear that too.

Randy! You were so much fun to spin with!! I so much enjoyed the company and energy you all brought from NYC! That certainly won't be the last time! I look forward to connecting and staying updated on the happenings! My next visit to New Paltz will certainly involve a stop in the city!

Amen, Randy!! I am definitely experiencing culture shock; I just walked into my middle school in Harlem and... WHOA. TOTAL 180 from where I was two days ago where I could literally FEEL the love emanating from others. Here, it's a totally different vibe!!! I'm going to do my best to carry it with me, but it's so hard when I'm surrounded by such intense, negative energy. *deep breath* ...It doesn't help that there is nothin' but rain in our NYC forecast, either!! Grrrrr.

I am doing my best to stay elevated, but I'm going through withdrawal, too!! Let's find an indoor space...Is DNA still having jams?

I made a huge bowl of kale salad last night that will last a few days. Hope it will carry the happy hoopcon vibe a little longer... maybe kale salad will ease the withdrawal dt's

I got that recipe for the peanut dressing! When I run across it, I will share it.

 

I had an amazing Hoop Convergence. One of my favorite ever. I made so many new friends, deepened existing friendships, learned so many rad things, saw so many incredible things ... I still feel high from it all. I had to sleep a lot yesterday to recover but today I feel like my cup is full to overflowing. Our hoop jam is tonight and I can't wait to review and play with the moves I learned! I can hardly wait for people to post their reviews!

 

I enjoyed playing with you all so much. Thank you for bringing such light into my life. I am really grateful for you.

I am feeling the pags of withdrawal as I sit in my office back at work, especially since so many of my coworkers have such a negative outlook on life. My focus now is to not internalize others negative energies and to keep bringing the love and unity a felt at convergence to my community (work, hooping, friends, etc.). Tonight I am going to give myself a few hours to hoop since it is a bit warmer in Wisconsin that it was the past two days.
