Hoopers in Hawaii

I noticed there is a serious lack of Hawaii love on Hoop City. I am hoping as the hooping community in Hawaii grows, so will this group! There are quite a few who live on the outer islands, but we have very few on Oahu. I hope I can help change that!

Come to Sunday hoop/circus jam! Sundays from 4:30ish to sundown, near queens beach. In the grass but beach side, between the first and second bathrooms when you're leaving Waikiki and headed towards diamond head. There are a bunch of palm trees that will have slack lines set up, plus there will be jugglers, acrobats, and of course hoopers!

Hello all! I have just moved back here to hawaii (home) a couple months ago. I went to school in San Francisco and mobbed hard in the dubstep/drum and bass scene in the bay area. Looking for someone chill to teach me to hoop. Always loved watching my friends hoop at shows but never had the balls to pick up a hoop and try it myself. Didnt have the space in my apartment and was shy. But i really wanna get the ball rolling. Are there any studio's or instructors here on island that could help me out?

Much appreciated

Hey Lindsey, I don't know if we have any hoopers in this little group from Kauai, but if you are on facebook, there is a group called Hoop Tribe Kauai that will allow you to get connected. I haven't had the joy of going over to hoop with them, but my friend Lacey has. They have a hoop jam with drummers, and there is also a big full moon party every month that some of the hoopers go to. Hopefully you can get connected via Facebook!
I live over on Oahu so if you ever find yourself in Honolulu, give a shout and you can meet some hoopers here too!
