Hello Hoopers!
Every Month a new challenge is presented. Will you accept it? The amazing members of Hoop City contribute prizes for those who complete the challenge and share their journey. Check out the current challenge and feel free to complete previous ones as well, as each challenge adds to your own personal growth in the hoop.

| Can I still do the challenge after the raffle is over? Absolutely! To be entered in the raffle, you will need to sumbit your entry by the deadline. However, you can still complete previous challenges to work on your personal growth as a hooper. Have fun working through the old activities and challenge yourself! We all grow at different rates and all of the challenges will be useful even years from now. If you've already done a challenge feel free to try it again in a few years, you may have a completely different experience the second time around. |
| The Beginning It began on September 2010 when David posted a forum discussion called "A Hoop-Flow Challenge". He challenged us to hoop dance for the entire song of Ava Maria. Over time new challenges were added by other hoopers; like Look Ma no Hands! and Communication Revelationand then this group was born.

I like your idea, Shannon. I think we get into ruts where we do the same things over and over; it would be good to challenge ourselves not to do that. It might disrupt flow, but it would give us a reason to refresh our memories on moves and combos we haven't used in a while, to learn new things, and to try our hand at choreography.

I had a hoop challenge idea, how about you can only do each trick only once (sans waist/chest/thigh hooping since that is impossible to just do once)? I almost think it would have to be choreographed! At least it would require that I delve into my hooptrick memorybank for some oldies but goodies. Any thoughts?

Hey! I have an idea for a challenge if it hasn't been done yet. Dance to something you would of listened to in middle or high school! You know those songs that seem so ridiculous now! Too much fun and I totally nailed the knee shimmy up by doing this! Sometimes changing it up helps!!!!
