| Can I still do the challenge after the raffle is over? Absolutely! To be entered in the raffle, you will need to sumbit your entry by the deadline. However, you can still complete previous challenges to work on your personal growth as a hooper. Have fun working through the old activities and challenge yourself! We all grow at different rates and all of the challenges will be useful even years from now. If you've already done a challenge feel free to try it again in a few years, you may have a completely different experience the second time around. |

Communication Revelation = Creating Emotion
I would love to see more people doing the hoop flow challenges! They aren't about competing against each other with the best tricks or moves. They are about having fun and expanding your own horizons within hooping! My November Challenge for yourself is about loosing inhibitions and really gettin down with how your feeling and what your expressing!1) First pick a message...this could be an emotion your feeling (happy, sad, angry, funny) or an experience you have recently been through…
Look ma, no hands!
No one has thrown down the gauntlet, so I thought I would. The rules for this challenge are as follows: 2 minutes of hoop dance to the song of your choice with no contact below the wrist. This means stalls, breaks and reversals (if you do them) have to be done without the use of your hands. If you drop the hoop, you are allowed to pick it up (had to put that clause in for me, don't know how to do the kickstart yet). Lol - I figured if I did that one at all, it would be mostly with the hoop in lasso or figure 8 as I skirted obstacles. ;)

I thought the parkour one sounded good because there was a lot of room for error. One can't be expected to do a bunch of fancy tricks or complicated choreography while hooping on, around, over, and under things, can they? LOL! Waiting to see what's next . . .

They're usually not as hardcore as the parkour challenge, so I feel fairly sure you'll be able to participate in the next one. :)

I'm stuck in a loop with the hula hoop. When I was a little girl I was abused in every which way. Often I was grounded to my bedroom, with two bathroom visits and a dinner release. In my bedroom held my boom box. Loud music would draw my angry step father towards my room. But I had to dance, so from a young age I would take a few preventable beatings so I could dance in my bedroom. I haven't posted for a very long time, but I have something worth sharing. In the last couple of years, I have advanced enough to start teaching and I absolutley love my classes. All my students are wonderful its the most favorite part of my week. Through a very unfortunate series of events, every hoop I own, including my hoops for students, were taken and no longer in my possession.
