Great challenge, Betherann!  I'm glad you got htis up at the beginning of the month; gives us some time to think about it, choreograph, etc. :)

I'm in! I don't know what took me so long to see this flow challenge group, but it looks like a great way to keep myself goal oriented and challenged every month. Love this one! I have an idea I have been wanting to do since seeing the Hooping Idol ones... thanks for giving me the kick to go through with it. ;)

This sounds totally fun  it may  take me all month to come up with something  I so wish i could hoop in a cape!

Ooh, that would be cool!  Maybe make your entrance in a short cape, start hooping at the knee and take the cape off, then shimmy the hoop up and go from there...

I am actually really excited about this challenge. 8D I started working on a routine this morning and already have a costume and makeup done. ;) I'm kind of cheating because I'm not creating a persona but more or less adopting one to tell someone elses story. I hope that still counts. o.O

This sounds really fun, and I really need a new hoop! So were just suppose to create a character on tell a story?

I have been so busy lately that i have missed participating with the hoop city community :(  Darn it you guys are extremely missable lol I think im going to try this challenge tonight to get my fix <3

Great!  Can't wait to see what you come up with.

 

I've been thinking about this challenge off and on all month and have yet to come up with an idea that will work with the limited resources I have available.  I originally thought about doing something to the 80's version of "Puttin' on the Ritz", but I don't have a suitable venue.  A ballroom, grand hotel lobby or theatre stage with velvet curtains would be great, and there is at least one stage in our area, but I just don't see the folks who run the Saenger giving me access for free to do a YouTube/Hoop City video.  They're probably in production with something right now and would be occupying the space at the only times I'd be able to shoot.

 

I have an alternate idea, but I need to download the song, make sure I'd be able to use it without having my video blocked, and find someone to operate the camera for some of the shots.

 

Maybe I'm being too ambitious, but after watching Hooping Idol, it's kind of hard not to be... ;)
