Same here! I started at 50 and was teaching by the time I was 51...Rayna of HOopnotica really encouraged me and I thank her for that. It has opened up a whole new world for me. It's keeping me young and happy and I'm not getting as injured as with some other activities. Sometimes people look at me with that same look of "huh"? But after they see how much fun I'm having they usually want to join in. Unfortunately, some are STILL too shy...but eventually I'll get them! He he.

When I first started hooping I was kinda shy- I'd move all my furniture so I could hoop in the living room. Learning corkscrews I also had to bend my knees to avoid the ceiling fan! Now I just hoop outside in the street and don't really care what the neighbors think. And sometimes they join in. I stop traffic. It's awesome.
