Hoop Bag?

Started by Shelley "HoopyChick" Gilbertson. Last reply by Hoopin4Joy Mar 9. 3 Replies

I asked this at Ravelry in the hoopers group, but so far nada.Has anyone knitted a hoop bag for a collapsible hoop?  I'd love one for my sectional, but I'm too new of a knitter to design something…

I thought I'd start a thread for us to post what we're currently stitchin' up.  Pictures would be cool too.  [hint, hint]  ;)

Very pleased I found this group. I am at the very beginning of my hooping but i have been into knitting for some time as well as crocheting. Sweet obsession. :)

I am so excited that there are other people out there as crazy as me! I never thought I would find a group dedicated to all things fiber and hooping, be still my heart! I am an avid spinner, crocheter, and knitter. I card my own fibers, spin and dye them. I also create one of a kind yarn Hair Falls. All of this has been my passion for the past three years and now I have added hooping to that list. :) Happy Hooping to all the Stitch Bitches!

Just found this group and how very cool! I love needleworking. I can't stand to just sit with idle hands so it fills a real need for me. I've been crocheting for 46 years and am really comfortable with it - never hesitate to try anything that catches my fancy. Kintting however I've gone back and forth on for years and have never felt like more than a beginner. I didn't really like it until I learned to knit continental style, but I'm still learning to catch mistakes quickly and correct them...all in all I think it requires more concentration than crochet, at least for me.

Hi! Nice to meet other fiber-loving hoopers! I'm weavingtheweb on Ravelry. I'm a lifelong fiber artist and former home ec sewing and needlearts teacher. I finally started hooping last summer, and now my husband and I are both into it. You can see my work at www.gypsyspiritthreadworks.com. Brightest blessings to all!

I'm here, GlowBunny, and I'm such a newbie knitter that I haven't even started yet!  I'm waiting for a book from the library (Stitch & Bitch) and once it's in my hot, little hands, I'll be trying my hand at this fabulous thing called knitting!  I'm joining this group to keep me in line! I have a habit of picking up a hobby, amassing a lot of stuff for it (and spending a fair amount of cash) and then dropping it!  I'm hoping knitting will stick.  My goal for 2011 is to add knitting to my list of skills!  2010 was the year of the hoop! I started in April, and I'm still loving it.  Just picked up minis!  Hoping for inspiration and help here when I need it!  LOL!

Hey SpunSam! I'm guessing a Ravelhooper is a hooper who is also a member of Ravelry (http://www.ravelry.com). Ravelry is an awesome crochet/knit community.

What is a Ravelhooper? :) I've heard this term thrown around and would love to know more
