January HoopSkool Info
Learn to hoop dance with grace, power, flow and control, and blow your friends and family away with your amazing new skills! HoopSkool is an exciting hoop dance series that will push you to learn much faster than you could alone. This class is mixed level.
Try out HoopSkool for $10 Tuesday Jan 11.
(RSVP by email to save your spot: email@example.com om)
Choose your level:
Foundations (early class): Beginner/Intermediate focuses more on technique, form, and basic dance sequence
Revelations (later class): Advanced-Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced goes in depth with advanced moves, drills, and choreography
Epiphany Package: Take both together for the most immersive learning experience!
How do you know what level you're at? If you've been hooping a few months and have the basics down, but still consider yourself a beginner, you're an advanced beginner. If you've been hooping up to 6 months regularly, you're intermediate. If you're advanced you probably already know it. I will scale the difficulty to match the skill level of the class, and EVERYONE receives equal attention in HoopSkool.
Our guest teacher for January will be Squiddie!
Squiddie is a professional hoop dancer who has performed with everyone from Mike D to the Disco Biscuits. She has been teaching hoop dance for over five years and brings her trademark sass, spunk, and comedic spark to everything she does.
WHEN: Every Tuesday from January 11-Feb 1, 2011
6-7:30: Foundations basic/int
7:30-9pm: Revelations adv-beg/int/adv

1 small and 1 big adult-sized hoop in decent condition. Hoops will also be available to use or buy if you don't have one. Also bring water and a towel.
Comfortable, breathable clothes that you don't mind sweating in. Shorts and a t-shirt (or top with no sleeves) are great, because the hoop sticks best to skin. Looser clothes and slick materials like spandex make the hoop slippery.
$10 trial class: Tuesday Jan 11 (choose your level)
Free vegan refreshments will be served!

For the 4-week series:
Foundations or Revelations: $75
Epiphany Package (both classes): $110
