Hoop-Mamas

A space for hooping mothers to share their love of dance, family, and living joyfully.

Welcome Home!

As women who inhabit the dual worlds of possibility and responsibility, I think Mothers have a unique dance. It's the dance around a cluttered kitchen and the stride that carries a child, three hoops, and a backpack where they need to go. A Mother’s dance welcomes the moon and celebrates sunshine. The Mother’s dance teaches others to twirl.

So make your selves at home! Share your stories, inspirations, and suggestions. This group is brand new so we have plenty of space to explore. Feel free to start new discussion threads!

Yippee!

I'd like to take a moment to extend healing prayers to Willow, whose newborn son passed away earlier this week. Willow you a beautiful hooper, kind friend, and loving mother. My thoughts are with you and your family as you move through this sorrowful journey. May you find healing and comfort.

P.S There's a thread where you can introduce yourself and your family. You can use the "view all" discussion forum link to find this thread, if you don't see it here on the first page.

I do! I tell my son to put his arms up and shake his booty then I wind up a mini and huck it around his body so it spins around. It drops after a bit but he knows when he is making it move. I also made him some mini minis for him and he waves them around all crazy. :)
