Has Motherhood Impacted your Creativity/Spirituality?

I found...when I had my children that there was a vital shift inside me...where I had always been artistic and "connected" Motherhood opened up this Need to create....like the very act of being a part of the creation of a new life in the world necessitated the continuation of Creativity in a more urgent way. Maybe for me it was about expressing myself as my time had become precious and so much of my energy was spent meeting the needs of others. Maybe There was a connection to something ancient that awakened in me...but either way every dance,song, painting comes from a place I couldn't fully reach before I had my children.

I am so greatful for the Imagination I have found again. Seeing the world in the magical light that my 4 year old and 2 year old see it in. I love it, everyday is beautiful and a new adventure. Some days the adventure is smooth sailing and other days it feels like we are climbing MT Everest.

And Love is amazing!!

Yes and no. I have alwaying be interested in spirituality and spent alot of time developing mine prior to my children.

However from the second my first born left my womb an instinct came too, the midwives didnt get to hold my son it was my hands that lifted him up(i was on a birthing chair) to my chest. i read no parenting books before children yet conventional means seemed wrong and i followed my instinct.

through parenting my children i no longer seek to develop my spirituality , it s there i have learnt to trust my instinct and dont control my path , i follow along and trust that all is in perfect order at this time ie divine timing.
I do pray though. My restless soul has been quieted by my children and my instinctive love for them.

Therefore i would say i am more connected.
