We're not even that busy! And all I want is an hour a day, but it's so hard to find, or rather, demand. When I'm home with the littles, they gravitate toward my hoop or ask me for something or turn off my music, or... GAH! By the time they are in bed, I'm exhausted from the day and I just want to sit down. I'm thinking of getting up earlier, but I know, know, KNOW that they'll hear me and come join in on the fun. And it's bad enough that I don't have a ton of space in the house so I can't just go to another room. I wish I could find a studio to hoop in, but I have no idea where to look and I don't have a membership to a gym or anything (don't have th funds).

So, how do you guy swing it? How do you find the time, space and peace, to hoop? Do you do it daily? Or do you just make do with a few times a week?

I am in the same situation. I have a toddler and an infant, and when one is not crying and demanding attention the other is trying to catch my hoop in mid air with his head! I usually make time during nap time. I didn't used to do specific time for naps each day, but since I started hooping i've made sure to stick with a strict nap schedule so I could get in some hooping and relaxing midday. Having a 2 month old doesn't always ensure he gets nap time but he is usually content in the swing watching and listening to the music. How old are your kids? Maybe you could do naps or a constructive activity for them that is safe enough not to have to supervise. I have a small corner that I can hoop in also, which requires me to move a toy box full of toys, and a recliner in order to get enough space. I also made a small hoop for my 2 year old so he could learn with me. he just kinda tosses it around and hits things with it, but he tries sometimes.

I have a four year old so sometimes I have a bit of time after i take her to preschool. She likes to hoop too  so it's hard when she's home cuz as soon as i pick up my hoop she wants to join in.We have enough room in the living room for 1 person hooping but not really 2 so  ihis case we will take turns... I'll work on something for a few minutes then she takes a turn- she is actually picking up tricks!

Sometimes  when things are so crazy  busy and I feel i have no time to practice or I'm too tired- then i go into "5 minute mode" where i just try to fit in 5 minutes a day  a few times a week usually after she goes to bed. I'm surprised how much progress I have made with these little mini sessions and sometimes once i get going i feel more energized and actually end up hooping for 15 minutes!

I have a 3 year old and 19 month old..I hoop every night, even if I am exhausted. Once you get hooping for 5 minutes your body creates the energy for you! Our family is on a pretty good rhythm through our days. So everything usually happens around the same time every day. So they are in bed by 7-730 every night and so ill hoop for an hour after a quick tidy up. I try to hoop with the littles around once every day. Neck hooping is all good since they are short LOL. I am also thinking about buying them hoops. We also make a game out of all taking turns with mommys hoop. The person with the turn hoops and the others watch on the couch and wait for their turn, which also helps with the learning to share and take turns thing LOL. My 3 year old has some pretty cool hand hooping tricks he made up!

i hope you can find time for yourself!

Like with everything with kids, some days it works, some days it doesn't. I've been trying to get us to a better schedule (for our entire day!) and it's been helping. But then my 5 year old completely squiged out on me today during 'mommy's hoop time'- demanding that I play other music and then demanding she hoop with me. In my way. Le sigh. today we shrug our shoulders, and try something different later.
My husband is always willing to watch baby zora when I need to hoop. I get outside around 4-5 days a week as long as it's not raining day after day! I am joining a gum with my sister ( cheaper)! They offer child services so I can bring her there while I hoop in the aerobics room. However he us overprotective and can't best the thought if her crying while mommy us dancing about. Who could blame him? If I hear her crying I would probably leave! Distance from the child us necessary. Without that space it doesn't take much for her to get me where she wants me.

I just bought some wireless headphones. They are great. The kids are all asleep and I can hoop and not interrupt anyone! WHOO! Well worth the money.

I'm really excited. I'm telling everyone.

hello!

I have a bad habit of doing everything else (laundry, clean up, dishes, meals, on and on...) before I give myself a chance to hoop. SO I'm learning don't wait, just do it. I will hoop with baby in arms, maybe you can play a game of throw a ball into mommy's hoop, while your hooping (and hope they don't have great aim?)

I've also heard of Garages, and try community, if you can hook up with another hoop momma, the kids may enjoy themselves for a while before they want to enjoy your hoops!
