Comment by Laura Frank on April 30, 2012 at 7:58am SO so glad I'm not the only newbie on Hoop City! My first hoop should come this week - totes excited. Are any of you other noobs in the midwest? I'd love to have people to learn with!
Comment by Hoopin4Joy on March 11, 2012 at 3:43pm Sweet you guys thanks for the nice comments, any tips are most welcome since I'm working in a small space. Sure I'd like to have the freedom to do all kinds of things but right now I have to 'mind the fire sprinkler heads' in the ceiling and not disrupt the neighbors with flying hoops. Making them small to start out of 1/2 inch poly pro has helped some - nothing crashed out the window yet... I think I need to skid them up a bit somehow so they don't keep flinging off when I get to going fast lol.

Comment by Hoopin4Joy on March 9, 2012 at 3:22pm Hi - I'm doing off body with mini's that I made myself. I'm new to the site but not 'new' to hooping per se - I did it religiously as a kid - but doing it as an adult is a whole new experience lol. Hoping to get into off body dancing if I can find a place to practice and learn new moves, until then I guess You Tube is going to be my teacher - which is fine I guess. Anyone have favorite online teachers? Thanks!
