I have been hooping for about a month now and I have a few tricks under my belt. But I can not get Isolations! Is anyone else having problems with this? I get the basic "idea" of the movement, but I can not get the flow. Any helpful tips, tricks, or pointers, would be greatly appreciated!
well Debra Roolz and Spin Gypsy really taught me isolations the best,, and what they said to do was face a mirror and fixate ur hand on the hoop like a steering wheel, going which ever direction u want, only making sure u can keep ur head centered in the mirror as the "wheel" or hoop, rotates within your wrist on a full rotation around your "head" basically in the mirror lol! once u do it a few times, u feel ur rotating the hoop around your head in a way, only thru the mirror and keeping ur head centered about the hoop as it goes around. your arms should hurt like a u know what if u are doing this right ;)
Thanks for the tips! I think that is basically what I am doing and yah, my arm hurts like @!#$ so I must being something right! LOL!
ya its one those hoop moves that looks just TOO easy until you actually DO IT hahaha, then its like wowwww, arm burnerrrrrr eeeek lol!!
No joke, I thought if I get the vortex down, I can surely do isolations! But oh the burn, my poor arm!
even with a light hoop, its still the arm motion that ya feel ;)
you'll get it- the ah ha moment is coming soon! here are some videos i did on the basic frontal isolation as well as isolation weave and other of my original tricks.
i hope that helps!
Thanks for the videos, the more info I get the better! I can feel a difference in the momentum and you are right, the ah ha moment is right at my finger tips.
Success!!!! My "Ah-Ha" moment came last week and I can feel the flow now! I have got it done pretty damn good with a mini hoop and I almost have it with my standard hoop! Thank you all for your help and support, this has been a great adventure. :)
