i posted this in another forum but no one answered.
First, I've only been hooping two weeks and I've tryed spinning while hooping b/c everyone says it makes it easier but for me it makes it alot harder,i cannot keep the hoop up if i try to spin at the same time. I don't get it.lol.
Secondis, I can shimmy the hoop from my waist to my neck (arms in) but once I get it there I have trouble keeping it going. It feels like it just keeps nudging my shoulder until it falls down. Maybe it's not far enough up on my neck ? or not enough speed? I can get my left arm in and bring it back down to my waist but I cannot for the life of me get my right arm in there. I guess I just need to practice practice practice :)
YES practice is key!! Are you spinning in the same direction your hooping?? feel the hoop on your waist and keep pushing into it as your turning youll get it!!
Definately spin in the same direction as your hoop. Also, when your neck hooping be conscious of your shoulders, drop them so they dont get in your way. Sometimes what your body wants to do and what it needs to do are two .very diffrent things :) and like always practice practice ptactice
love ur response Ayla hehe, "Sometimes what your body wants to do and what it needs to do are two .very diffrent things :)" that's like h00ping 101 totally I would say!! For me , spinning same direction doesn't help me keep the hoop up but it does allow for alot of transitions and lifts and other things because it slows the hoop down,,it doesn't speed it up for me at all! :)
thanks you guys :) i think it has alot to do with my eet when i try to spin.
and my shoulders are just dumb.lol.they won't stay out of the way!
