Hey everyone, I'm a beginner hooper in the lake county area and I was looking for help. Could anyone by any chance help me learn to get better? I could pay for private lessons. 

Kind of a desperate hooper, wanting to get good by festival season.

It it a great idea to bring your own props if you can, but there will be some extras floating around. There will also be some vendors selling pretty much anything you would need:) If you are wanting to try out poi for the first time, there are some pretty easy ways to make them. The easiest is probably weighing down long socks with ballons filled with rice, beans, etc. I personally LOVE contact poi, and they are pretty easy to make too, just a little more cost involved in buying the materials (almost easier to just order a set:)

Thanks guys! This looks super fun! I'm glad you showed me it. I'm hoping to get my boyfriend to go too. Are we responsible for bringing all of our own stuff? I have my own hoops, of course, but I've never done poi. Do i need to whip some up before I go?
