I'm happy to see more people joining the group. I would like to get to know you guess some more so please introduce your self.

My name is Martika but you can call me marty for short. I've been hooping since June 3, 2010, i'm currently working on multi-hooping with three hoops, and working on starting an esty account.

I am Kathryn! I make and sell hoops, been hooping for a few years but my addiction to it came four months ago! I can't get enough. I make and sell hoops via craigslist and etsy (hoping to take it on the road to festivals) I am not interested in making it a full-time business or career path, just want to pay for my concert/festival/hooping addictions and spread the love. I am currently working on passing the hoop with my elbows ( thanks amelia! ) and vertical hooping. I recently got an LED hoop and its soo much fun! I would like to move on to fire hooping as soon as possible but I dont plan on moving into that until I am good and ready. It is a long term goal, I am still a newbie! I am also working on flexibility and strength. I am really trying to stretch the limits :) I'd love to perform someday and get back to my theatre roots and love of the arts. We are currently planning a HulaWeen event ( since i am unable to make it to the SCI hulaween we are having one here in OZ) details to come. In a few months, I plan on trying a pair of minis and hope to feel comfortable with them in time for next summer. I get such a thrill from hooping/the events surrounding/the people involved/and the meditation and peace that comes from it. Glad to meet you all! Thanks Marty for starting this group, I am glad you joined us for Waka!

yeah no problem, and i may be getting a job so i'd totally go in on tape with you soon.
Hi I'm Blair!
I have been hooping for abour 2 years and love it so much! I work as a teacher during the day and hoop as much as i can on the weekends and the evenings when im not babysitting. I am currently working on getting my strength back in my left hand/wrist since my car accident in March 2010 left me with a crushed wrist and hand. During that time i worked on my leg tricks, arm tricks and trying to do as many tricks as possible using just one hand. I spend lots of my free time teaching a beginers youth hoop class and making and selling hoops. I vend my hoops and clothes at as many of the festivals that my schedule allows me to attend, some being Wakarusa, Rothbury, All Good & 10KLF. Once my hand is healed all the way i plan to get back into fire hooping but for now i just have to wait which is a royal pain! I also live in westport so if anybody that lives close feels like hooping you should give me a shout!

Happy hooping!!!!
Hi my name is Jenny!! I just started hooping this year and I was instantly HOOKED! I live in Lenexa and I am a stay at home mom to my 3 year old daughter Maiah. I practice all the time and even find myself thinking of how to improve before bed. Really looking to get some get advise from more experienced hoopers.
Hullo hoopers! I'm Mandi Minx. I have taught a couple of quick little workshops (one for kids, and a few impromtu at-a-show and people gotsta know) and I really enjoy it. I have limited ability to exercise and maintain strength due to a car accident and hooping has literally become the only way for me to stay in shape and do anything physically taxing and fun. I make and sell hoops (I do believe I have nearly every color of tape), have a basic ability with multi-hoops and minis (I'm still perfecting the art there) but I absolutely love rocking out with with just one sleek-style trick hoop. I love fire hooping, though my fire hoop is just a tad bit too big for me... I'm going to invest in a smaller one soon. Who would have thought one day, long long ago in '08, my spare time would be taken over with something so simple... and wonderful! <3 yay hooping!

Hi! I'm Amber. I'm a 29yr old single mom of 3 awesome kiddos from Spring Hill. I used to hoop when I was a little girl. Not sure when or why I stopped but I wish I hadn't! I LOVE hooping! I started hooping again just recently(as in last month). I had picked up a hoop for my lil girl. It was obviously too small for me so I decided to make one of my own. It's kind of wonky lol but works. My little girl picked up on it really quick so now we hoop together! One of the reasons that I started hooping again was for my health. If I am having fun AND working out at the same time that is a win/win for me! I can't wait for the day it becomes just for fun!!
