SANDUSKY, Ohio
Do you know someone looking for a summer job who likes to perform?
Cedar Point is holding auditions Friday for its summer shows.
The theme park is looking for singers, dancers, percussionists, drummers and technicians.
Auditions will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the park's Live Entertainment Office in Sandusky.
You must be 18 years old or older to tryout.

It's in the local news here in Detroit. Just thought I would post on here in case anyone is interested.

Caroleena of Circles of Joy, Raleigh North Carolina (a.k.a. Carolyn Mabry) has been teaching hoopdance since 2005. She also performs professionally, spins poi and is an accomplished dancer in many styles of dance. Her numerous tutorials and videos on YouTube are eagerly awaited by hoopers both new and experienced. She helped found Hoop Convergence, the first
international conference of hoopers, now an annual event near
Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina, and she moderates several online
hooping communities. She has twice won a Hoopie Award from
Hooping.org: in 2007 for her work mentoring hoop students around the world, and again in 2010 for Tutorial of the Year. As a teacher she is cheerful, encouraging, and highly sensitive to her students. A bright point of light. ♥
I agree with @Colleen. I'm about a 3 hour drive away, so for me, a full day would be more enticing than a 3 hour event. Sundays ARE the best for me, but that said, since it is a drive, I would probably spend the night, so Sundays wouldn't work because I work on Monday. Saturdays are bad for me a lot of the time unless I know far in advance. I do roller derby, so that eats up many Saturdays.
Also I might bring one person but not sure
If I was going all the way to Richmond I would want it to be a full day thing -- that's like 5 hours away. Just after mid-March would be best for me but if we wanted to do it earlier I am sure I could work out a weekend.
@Colleen and @Traeonna,
Glad to hear you would come!
For those interested in an indoor-hoop jam in Richmond, Indiana, when in the next few months works best for everyone?
I'm going to have to say Mid-February would be the earliest time I could shoot for, but I can start planning as soon as I feel there is enough interest. Do you think that you would bring people with you to the event? And are there any preferences so far as to a 3-hr or a full day event?
I would be totally down for this. I live in the Lansing, MI area and would be down to drive 4-ish hours, but as far as hosting the event goes, I don't think I have anything. My friend might be down to do it on her farm but it's pretty damn cold up here and we would be outside.
@Traeonna :) I would be able to provide space for about 15-20 people indoor for a day-long or 3-hr event in Richmond, Indiana (possibly more people, but if so, then for less time).
Do you have a preference as to when to hold the event? Sundays will probably be the best for a day-long event. Saturday afternoons for a 3 hour event. I don't think that the weeknights will work for what I'm talking about. Interested in trying to put something together?
@Saladora Pantz > I think a lot of us would be interested if there was a venue to hold such a thing at.I'm in NW OH (Toledo area), but travel up to 1.5 hrs for most events.
