I CANNOT believe I missed out on this! And all I've ever wanted was to meet and learn from other hoopers in the midwest region (particularly Iowa haa). Are you planning on holding another gathering next summer? If so, I'm keeping a closer eye on the event!

its not really a camp perse but i have started a weekly spin jam in my home town, joplin,mo. its every saturday at schifferdecker park at 5pm.   http://www.hoopcity.ca/events/schifferdecker-park-happy maybe if im lucky this will pan out into some sort of whole weekend yearly thing!

Harmony is my stomping ground for 11 years now and the place I first learned to love myself for exactly who I am. Many midwest hoopers already converge there every summer and early fall. The festivals here are amazing and the people who come even more amazing. May I suggest a hoop convergence for Project Earth, which usually takes place in late June? If we joined a hoop jam with this festival then the block out mentioned last year would be no issue. This is a co-creation festival and they already have a small hoop camp going on during the festivities. Added bonus: This festi is an all charity event benefiting positive actions all around the world.  http://bethechangecharities.org/

Hello!!

For those who don't know. Baxter will be in Indianapolis this weekend January 13,14,15 2012.  Its about $110 a day, but anyone with the funds should go!

Also, has there been any more progress on a MidWestHoopers Convention? I am an avid hooper and would love to help organize with someone. Contact me!

There is an incredible weekend spin retreat at Harmony Park in MN called Campfire.  The 2012 dates are June 15-18.  Here is the website: http://www.campfireretreat.com/

I went last year and it was incredible!  It's for spinners of all kinds, but I spent the entire weekend at hoop workshops.  It was only $100 and all the food was included.  NOT to be missed!
