I am Tammi. I'm 24 and on the crazy side. I'm also very optimistic (obliviously :P). I just started hooping but am really enjoying it. I also learned to play ocarina recently so I pretty much have two fantastic new hobbies. And yes I have attempted to hoop and play at the same time. Haha! Just need to learn how to balance on a ball and I'll be ready for the circus. (I do have a friend in a side show who said there's a spot for me if I ever start fire hooping. Ha!)

I am married to my high school sweetheart, getting close to 7 years now. We have three boys we call our Tornadoes, for very good reasons. Ha! I homeschool so they keep me pretty busy, especially right now while the husband is deployed with the National Guard. Hooping is my way of passing time until he's home, and the bonus is I'm exercising more so I will look fantastic in my homecoming outfit when he does. :D

I ramble. :P
I'm Kate. 22 years. I am from Columbus, but I will be moving to the Bay Area in September. I recently graduated from college with a degree in art.

I started hooping a few days before the fourth of July this year and I'm loving trying to learn new tricks. I am still trying to master my flow, but I hope to someday be able to really groove the hoop!

Hi, I'm Susi, 28 years old and I'm from Germany.
I started to learn hooping this year in april. Unfortunately I have not that much time and tiny space for hooping. So I only make little progress, but I really enjoy the time I spend with hooping :)
my name's tori!i like to dance!
hopefully some of y'all with kids will get the Yo Gabba Gabba reference,my favorite thing besides hooping :]
i'm 20,from the hudson valley, and just started hooping a month ago.no kids for me,but i too have an awesome dog(probably the best one there is),and i go to culinary school :]
Hello all! I'm Noora, 21 years old and I'm from Finland. I started hooping in February so I've been hooping for about 5 months now and I LOVE it! I try to hoop every day but it has been such a superhot summer here, that it's just too sweaty and uncomfortable to hoop outside. Can't believe I'm complaining about the amazing weather... :D
HI, I am Sharon, 29 years old and living in Holland. I am married recently and we have a dog and a cat.
I started hooping 1,5 months ago and i like the progress, although it's not going fast enough for my taste ;) I want to be good at new things right away.. bit of a bad habbit of mine...

My other hobbies are dance, polefitness, going to the movies and photography (i'm a artist/photographer).
Hi! I'm Shelley and am new to Hoop City. I'm 43 years old, married with four kids (ages 23, 20, 11 and 7 - yes, two marriages explains that wild age range). I work as a paralegal/loan closer. I live in a tiny town in central Minnesota, and I have no access to hooping classes, groups or even other hoopers. This place might be my lifeline, as I LOVE to discuss hooping!

I started hooping in April when I received a hoop and some videos from Hoop Girl for my birthday. I instantly fell in love! I think I've made some great progress, although chest and shoulder hooping are currently vexing me! LOL! Since then, I've acquired three more hoops (with another on the way), the Hoopnotica videos and have spent countless hours on-line watching tutorials! I'm contemplating signing up for SaFire's on-line classes.

I've never been very "artsy," "creative" or anything like that, but I've always enjoyed dance. It's my primary form of physical fitness. I'm a home video workout queen, and dance-based workouts are my favorite. I love dance tutorials too, and am always teaching myself one form of dance or another. I think the combination of dancing while hooping really appealed to me. I watched some hoopdancing videos on YouTube, and I was completely entranced.

Anyway, I'm happy to have discovered this site and this community! I'll try not to drive everyone nuts with questions! LOL!

Happy hooping, all!
Hi I'm Jenn! I'm 31, mom to 5 kids (14, 13, 9,8, & 5) all of whom have decide they also like hoops, even the boys! I am married to a Navy sailor, currently residing in WA state. I used to love hula hooping as a child but never really thought much of it as an adult. I have been on a fitness quest trying to find the perfect program for me. Recently a friend told me about hoop dancing as her pole instructor is learning to hoop. I was intrigued of course and started watching hoop videos on youtube. I sent some to my husband to watch and he was hooked as quickly as I was.

I have always been the craftyish sort, anything that I can do with my hands makes me happy, so of course I had to add hoop making to my list of crafts. It is certainly as addicting to craft the hoops as it is to hoop! I simply cannot wait for my packages of colorful tapes to arrive so my hoops will be decorative and pretty.

and yeah, that's pretty much me :)
Hi! I am Lisa and I live on Guam with my husband who is in the Navy. Just started hooping casually a couple weeks ago and after seeing all the fun things you can do with this, I am hooked! Now I want a REAL hoop, lol!
I'm Amy and I'm 27. I'm about to graduate with my second college degree and I just picked up hooping this week. I'm also a beginner with poi and rope dart.
