Hi all!

I'm looking to try and start a Cincinnati hoop group to meet on the weekends and jam out, or even hold some hoop-building parties. I haven't met a whole bunch of Cinci hoopers yet, as I think we're kind of scattered. This would be an awesome opportunity to get everyone together to make some new friends and connections.

If you're diggin the idea, let me know! The more the better.

I figured connecting with some people before choosing a location would be the best idea, but I'm thinking mid-Cinci or some similar place. Also thinking of a pot-luck style or BYO-everything for snacks to keep us going. Input, need input!

If anyone is already holding their own regular or semi-regular jams (aside from the KOIPound fire/glow spin jam on Wednesdays) then I'd love to hear about it!

Let me know if you're in, and we'll work things out. :) Summer isn't nearly over!

Yo! In.

Life is keeping me from doing it, so I'm crazy happy that some one else IS! YAY YOU!

Music was the thing that always hung me up when trying to put together a jam. I know Leslie at Shine has a Block Rocker, and I think they're the best... and, like, $250. What about live music? Dunno. Gotta run, but I'll keep the brain storming!
Yaaay I'm glad you'll be there <3

Yeah I'm in need of some ideas for the music. I have small speakers that, in the right room, will be pretty darn loud. But if it's outside, then I'm thinking it'll have to be a boom box of some sort.

Boom box... lord it's like I'm back in the 90s.

Live music would be freaking awesome. Definitely something to consider - if anyone knows some local artists or is musically inclined themselves, do speak up!
My brain is still storming. Heh. Just trying to focus the brunt of the storm on this matter. So, yeah. Still thinking!
Yay! Thanks <3 We totally need a regular playtime in this city.

So far I haven't heard from anyone in Cincinnati. My hooping.org login just refuses to work, and I bet there are some people there who'd be interested. Argh.

I'm so ADHD, my brain keeps skipping around in the planning. Thinking of winter-month solutions like a local YMCA or something. Hmmmm
Okay! We've got a date and time and place, and everything's looking great! And we even have a name - hoopinnati! Gotta love it. ;)

For anyone here who'd like to join in, here's the Facebook event page:

Hoopinnati Flow Jams will always be completely free!

The flow jam is BYO-Everything. Please wear your comfy summer clothes, bring sunscreen, H20, and any snacks you may need to keep you going. There is a pavilion for rest and shade, but it may be occupied by other park patrons, so lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged! Bathrooms are available.

We have a very large, open space that can accomodate an incredible amount of hoopers, all with enough room to practice their tricks!

I'll have some extra hoops on hand, about 5 or so, if you don't have a hoop or if you're bringing a friend who doesn't own one.

Children and pets are welcome with responsible supervision. Please note that sometimes pets really don't like hula hoops!

The next jam is coming up, tomorrow!

This time we'll be meeting at 2:00 to 4:00 pm rather than the other time. Everything else is the same, including the map and phone number!

Hope to see you guys there!

The next jam is coming up soon!

This weekend, Saturday the 28th, at 2:00-4:00!

Check the event listing post I've made here, and please use the map! Mt. Airy is BIG and you will get lost most likely! Use my phone number if you need to.

If we get the pavilion to ourselves, we'll do some fire hooping. :)

Can't wait to see everyone there!

Yay Hannah - hopefully you can come to some jams! Here's the next one:

Saturday, September 11th at 2:00-4:00 PM in Mt Airy Forest. Please use the map and my phone number if you need directions.

See you all there!
Hey everyone!

There will NOT be a hoop jam this Saturday (9/18) as I will be out of town, at the Wuhnurth festival. We start back up on the 25th.

Have a great weekend!
I know this post is old (from 2010) but I'm wondering if there are any Cincinnati area hoopers.
I'm in Cincy. :)
Hell yeah I'm in! Ault Park is a lovely place to hoop, it'd be a great place to meet up!
