Hey guys!  I'm selling my cosmic fire hoop if any of you are interested!  It's blue and gold metalic, tape still looks like new and this hoop has only been burned about 25-30 times.  It's 39 inches with 1 1/2 inch wicks on 100 psi tubing.  Great intermediate fire hoop or for someone wanting to learn fire! Contact me and we will set up a spin!

PDX hoopers: I have a beautiful 125 psi, 3/4" OD, 36"  figure 8 collapsible hoop that I'd like to sell to a happy hooper if anyone's interested! $15! Not sure where/how to go about getting the word out. It's white tubing with red and neon orange criss-cross gaffers tape. She's lovely but I have too many hoops and need to scale down. :)  -Sarah-

Hello fellow hoopers! :) I just moved to PDX (well the PDX area) from Minnesota about two months ago and I'm itchin' to flow with some other hoopers! Learn some new tricks, try out fire hoopin and really to find some awesome people to chill with! I also would like to buy a LED but want to find some place or some one local to buy from! Let me know! :)

Attention PNW hoopers in the Portland area that will be in town for July 9th...If you have an LED hoop you are needed for a performance at 9:30 on Saturday. It is an unpaid performance but the proceeds raised will benefit finding a cure for cancer. If you are interested in learning about this please email me at nshellhayes@hotmail.com.

Thanks,

ZigZag

Hey Swizzy! I have some gaffer (hockey) tape and some vinyl and such tape that I am no longer using. I will sell it to you for cheap. I live in inner SE Portland. Let me know if you're interested! Welcome to Portland ;) It's among the most fantastic places to be in the summer summer summer time!

Does anyone live near Washington Square? I am usually without a car so traveling to PDX isn't currently an option. I would love to hoop with someone in my area.

Don't know about hockey tape but these guys have reasonably priced gaffer in all sizes.

Tonight I'll be performing along with some hulahoopla hoopers in the Starlight Parade! It starts at 8, and tracks all through downtown. Don't miss it!

Also-does anyone know of some good parks to hoop in here? I just moved to NW a few weeks ago, and haven't found a park I enjoy quite yet. I'd also love to join in on some hoop jams on the west side!

Swizzy Ape

a way out of the hoop

Posted by Swizzy Ape 2 Comments

I'm stuck in a loop with the hula hoop. When I was a little girl I was abused in every which way. Often I was grounded to my bedroom, with two bathroom visits and a dinner release. In my bedroom held my boom box. Loud music would draw my angry step father towards my room. But I had to dance, so from a young age I would take a few preventable beatings so I could dance in my bedroom. Pretending I'm dancing on stage with Brain Setzer, I had trained myself to ingore reality while I dance. Even…

I haven't posted for a very long time, but I have something worth sharing.  In the last couple of years, I have advanced enough to start teaching and I absolutley love my classes.  All my students are wonderful its the most favorite part of my week. Through a very unfortunate series of events, every hoop I own, including my hoops for students, were taken and no longer in my possession. I was so upset ,not for myself, but my students would have nothing to take class with. There…
