whirly wednesday is an open jam, really hooping heavy, but we've had a little bit of everything here and there! whirly wednesday is totally family friendly, altho the winter meeting space is not next to a playground like our summer spot in the park. little ones might be more restless at the flying squirrel, but they're welcome to come! there will be another hoop making session this winter (at the flying squirrel) and once the weather is better some hoopenings.

bring a water bottle and whatever you spin/share. i have plenty of hoops to share. get on the mailing list to make sure you stay in the loop! RochesterHoops@gmail.com

*****also if you or a friend are interested in joining the drum circle, please do! like the hoopers, the drum circle has increased in numbers! they have a lot of fun, and we're very greatful for the ongoing beats to dance to!

Word on Whirly Wednesdays (updates/news)

i was REALLY hoping to meet on the weekends, but no such luck. so our regular meeting is still wednesday (6-8 Flying Squirrel Community Space 285 Clarissa Street, 14608) but i'd like to have a few longer jams on the weekends when the space is available (more details tba eventually. more epic weekend jams might be in conjuction with hoop making? we'll see!)

Hi! I'm so glad I found this group, because I'm moving to Canandaigua this Spring all by myself and was hoping to find a group of hoopers somewhat nearby! Can't wait to join in on the fun when I'm all settled in! =D

Hi Brittnay,

I'm working on starting up the Rochester Circus Arts Collective, but until we start meeting regularly for practice you might try Whirly Wednesday if you are into electronic music. They meet on Wednesdays from 6 - 10 pm at the Flying Squirrel on Clarissa Street in Rochester (on the corner of Clarissa and Troupe streets). Hey I just moved out to Rochester in August for grad school at U of R and am still having a hard time finding fellow hoopers and just girls to hang out with in general. Any one know about and groups, classes, etc. that go on in the rochester area!?

Hello Rochester Hoopers! Scholarships are being taken now until April 8th for HoopFest New England!  Just go to the home page here on HoopCity for the application. Early Bird Registration has also been extended and we hope to see New York there!
