Awesome, Alan! That's so cool, and you did great with all those hoop obstacles in your way! :-D

Hi I joined this group a couple of weeks ago and I finally got to hoop and skate on Sunday, at a hooping do in Manchester, England: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxd8QvjuXkE&feature=player_embed...
You have to wait to the end of 4 minutes to see me. Some was easy but waist hooping tended to throw you off balance and fall over. But just need more practice once this horrible winter is over in UK.
I'm on in-line "Roces" with 76mm dia wheels.

Hi Cat, I got the indoor/outdoor Riedell Zone skates from SkateMall. I don't see them listed anymore on their website, but you can also piece them together by ordering all the bits. I get lots of comments about my awesome "retro" skates! People love them!!

What kind did you get? Do they do well on pavement? Good for you! I still need to get some.

Hi everyone! I just bough some cool skates from skatemall.com, and I'm in love with my indoor/outdoor quads. I tried just hooping while standing still on the skates and thought I might die trying. My friends were ready to rush me to the hospital! :-D Fun idea!

I know they do make good roller skates for both outdoor and indoor use. I'd rather roller skate, myself. I notice most people who do any kind of dancing on skates use regular quad roller skates. I am noticing that you can pay as much as up to $250 for a good pair of skates and a lot less for a probably good enough used pair of skates on ebay. I have someone to take some skate classes with soon here in Denver - and artistic dance ones at that! And then we are going to do this in the big cemetery as there are less people and no one bugs you there. We'll see though!

OH my gosh... i just joined hoop city not 10 minutes ago, checking out the groups, here is this Skater Hooping.... I TOTALLY had a dream 2 nights ago that I was roller skating and hula hooping around our mall in town and dodging people left and right. I guess this is the group for me haha

I asked a gal on youtube who does hoop skating what skates she'd recommend for outdoors and she said inline skates. So I'll just start with my rollerblades and see how it goes.
