Hey, everyone! I'm new to this community and pretty new to hooping as well and would LOVE to have a friend nearby to practice with! Do any of you live in Alabama? I'm in Montgomery but travel to Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham and the Gulf area pretty frequently! I am in Pell City, about 1.5 hr from you, if that. I have been teaching a hoop dance & fitness class & crafting hoops here for 2 years. I'm always up for hooping! There are several others in this area (Bham & surrounding) and Gulf Shores/South AL, as well. Let me know when you wanna jump in the car! Hoopy holidays,

Hello hello!

I am a hooper in Birmingham, AL and we would love for you to come visit! I teach classes here in Birmingham and like Dana said, there are also classes out in Pell City! We have a pretty decently sized hooping community here in Birmingham. I'll shoot you an email soon and hook up with you!

I live in Tennessee right now, but I plan on attending Auburn University. I actually started Hooping in Auburn. I was visiting my dad for the summer and I bought my first hoop from a couple of hippies. I've been hooked ever since.

I'm stuck in a loop with the hula hoop. When I was a little girl I was abused in every which way. Often I was grounded to my bedroom, with two bathroom visits and a dinner release. I haven't posted for a very long time, but I have something worth sharing.  In the last couple of years, I have advanced enough to start teaching and I absolutley love my classes.  All my students are wonderful its the most favorite part of my week. Through a very unfortunate series of events, every hoop I own, including my hoops for students, were taken and no longer in my possession.
