Nicole if there is no one in your area doing Hoop classes or a Hoop group that means it is up to you to get it started...
http://www.hooping.org/archives/000293.html Here is a page from hooping.org on how to do it.. It takes time to get people interested and actively hooping.. My best advice is just go out and Hoop in the parks and any where you feel comfortable. People will take notice some will come and join others will just look. Good luck on your Journey.

I'm in Jax!! Also, not too far from Orange Park, over by The Avenues. Very much a beginner and would love to see some classes here. My bellydance teacher has a studio, but I'm not good enough to teach. A total newbie, LOL.

Where are you bellydancing? I literally just picked up a hoop one week ago! I am loving it so much! I'm glad I have found someone in jacksonville! You are my first connection and thank you for your interest. I have an email, hoopjax@gmail.com
I am hoping to get a group of 10 people to start hooping on a weekly or monthly basis in a public park, etc...

I currently am part of a group called JaxFlow. It's not just for hoopers though it's for anyone who has a skill toy like staff, and poi. We usually meet up every Friday but it's been so cold out lately. If you have a facebook the group link is,

I am a new hooper in the ST. Augustine area and looking for hooping friends or get togethers, classes ect.... I am also interested in making hooping clothes for people if anyone has any cool ideas.

If you all are willing to make a short drive, we have a hoop class every Sunday at 4pm in Gainesville at Ethnic Dance Expressions. Claudia Bittman is the teacher, www.vestahoopdance.com. It's $15 for drop in. No class this Sunday but we'll be starting up again 3/21. Would love to connect!

New to hooping and loving it! My friend Catina (also on Hoop City) and I meet at Memorial Park (Five Points) on Sundays @ 4pm (weather permitting). COME OUT!!!
