"It's about time Hoopers took to the streets of New Orleans!

Theme: Southern Gothic 
Start: Chartres & Canal
End: Esplanade & Decatur

Gathering time: 7:00 p.m.
Parade Start time: 7:30 p.m.
Dispersal time: 8:45 p.m.

Our parade permit allows us to have a maximum number of 75 participants. If we find that we exceed this number, first priority will be given to hoopers, circus performers, and those in fabulous costumes"

hey there!! i live in nola right by the cathedral i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to hoop with someone sometimes, we could do day or night w l.e.d.s. i would do this more often yet i don't have many hooper friends and i always have way more fun when i'm with others. let me know if you would want to hoop some time. i may go to the park on frenchmen in about an hour as well if you'd like to meet up.

Hi there. I'm living in Hammond going to Southeastern at the moment but come into the city often (like once a week) and I would love to meet some new hooper friends. Its tough finding hoopers down here in south LA so I would be so so so so thrilled to meet some new buddies to learn and jam with. Also Voodoo is coming up so I will be out there hoopin my butt off, and eating of course. I love to meet people who share a common love for dance and art. Hope to see some beautiful hoopers this year:))))

This discussion is really old now, but I'm a newbie hooper in BSL/Waveland, MS and would love to get together with others in the area!

Hi Sammie. I'm Kayla. :)  I live about an hour north of you, in Picayune, MS. Do you have the ability to drive somewhere?  We tend to have hoop meetups in Mandeville or Abita Springs, LA on Sundays at 1pm. It's about an hour away for you (and me).  There are quite a few of us in that area.  Also, there is a drum circle that is held every full moon in Pass Christian at Hendersen Point. Now that it is getting nicer outside I plan on attending more often. I usually bring all my hoops out as well.  Find me on Facebook: Kayla Marie Dixon. :) :)
