Personally, I do not have any plans as of yet. As you know, I am an art teacher and we do a very small Halloween celebration here at school. The primary and intermediate teachers (that'd be me) usually dress up for it. I am torn between going as a black cat (my standby costume) and a totally tricked out hooper for the celebration. As far as Samhain goes.... I don't have that planned out at all! I usually like to spend time out doors on that day, and since it will be on the weekend, that is perfect. Hopefully it won't rain! If it does, then i will spend time doing kitchen witch things and cooking up "spells."

i dont have any plans as of yet really. there is a halloween rave in anchorage on the 30th with an alice in wonderland theme, so if i go to that i will have some kind of wonderland costume. im thinking about going as the mad hatters rabbit friend (cant remember his name). for samhain, id like to have a nice bonfire and have some friends over for a mini celebration. and much hooping will be involved!!

Halloween i'll be going to Salem, Mass! No better place in teh world for halloween plans :3. Samhain, is a little more spontaneous. It'll be in my thoughts :3. My costume isn't hooper related (not for halloween anyway: a little hooper dancer to renn faires though!)

I'm not going as a witch, but i don't think that witches are bad, or good for that matter. A halloween witch is the same as a halloween ghost or any other monster: regardless of its origin, its now synomynous with halloween and its not teh same thing as the everyday example :p

I wish i could definately say i was doing something for Samhain, but for now its 'nothing'. Maybe i could get a huge bonfire/hoop/dance thing going. tha'd be wonderful :3

Wow, Salem. A little jealous over here;) I've never gone but always wanted to.
I agree with you about the Halloween Witch or the Hollywood Witch as I like to call her.
I would love to have a burning and light up for Samhain, but I don't have a safety or the permission to fire hoop in my area. so that is out like a trout :(

i will keep mine separate .
i lost a lot of loved ones this year and i will be doing ritual and sending love while the veil is thin ..
the idea of doing a burn after is something i am thinking about too..
oh and i am not going as a witch to the halloween party or trick and treat with the kids..i am going as a girl sock monkey
