Ive thought about using my toys in magick. Like my hoop for a goddess symbol and my fire staff for a god symbol. We could create our own Circus magick :P

ooo... circus magick. i like the way that sounds arsyn!! i have kind of used my hoop for magickal purposes. when we did the group spin a while back i used it as a "mobile circle" so to speak and called the cardinal directions before i spun. sometimes i use it as a circle when i meditate in my hoop. it just feels so calm, clear, and secure; good feelings for meditating. anywho... i would love to eventually get back into ritual and use my hoop more as a tool. i like the god and goddess idea with toys arsyn commented on, too.

i sit in my hoop while meditating as well, i have a pethera of spiritual objects in my room and i promise the hoops on my walls are the most energyholding objects i have, their auras glows so bright for me it follows my eyes even when i stop staring at theM!

I am a little late to the party here, sorry. We've been using the hoop to raise energy for the past 2 full moons. It is a very powerful tool once you start using it! Good luck and thank you for posting your question! I love all this conversation!

Ive made hoops in the past with 5 crystals spaced inside to represent the penticle / pentagram and its beautiful to hoop with to raise energy! Nice to sit inside and meditate too!
I also have a hoop with 7 crystals for the chakras inside which is awesome for energy!! Its a touch heavy for regular hooping though.

What I really wanted was a hoop that I could put different crystals in at different times though for witchy / spiritual type purposes - and maybe other small witchcraft items too. So Ive developed a hoop that you can put things in and remove them again. Ill post some pics later & a guide to making them - its easy!

I try to make most of my hoops between the new and full moon. However I make some hoops for various purposes, so there are some exceptions. For instance if someone has the intent of tying to stop a negative habit, Ill make the hoop after the full moon. I also use a bit of colour therapy, numerology & crystals for this.

i would love to have the guide to making that hoop. i saw where you had posted pics the other day and i loved the crystal/scarab hoop. such a neat and creative idea!!

i always but my crystals in my hoop and align them with the chakras while meditating or circle them around me while hooping... it creates great magikal energy

Here are pics of my latest crystal hoop - Ill do a tutotial for it soon, though its pretty easy to make! I will try for my other type of crystal hoop too soon. That ones a bit more complicated and I need more space & help to make it though so Ive got to wait for my bf to clean up some of his stuff and be available. (Sounds silly, but he has a crazy house with stuff everywhere like you wuldnt beieve!)
One question, do I make up names for my hoops since it seems no one else is doing them yet? S-:

Actually, silly me! The main part of the tutorial already exists. Follow steps 1-4 of the double hoop making tutorial, just use different t-connectors - the ones with the screw top and get caps to fit. Ive no idea though if theres a different and correct name for the caps as so far I have not seen them labled in shops here. If you can find the screw type t-connectors and caps, you can use ordinary t-connectors and secure the crystal in with a piece of netting or tape.
To stop the crystals falling into the hoop, I plug the bottom of the t-connector with cotton wool or silicone. Cotton wool is great for cushioning the crystals too if youre worried about them rattleing around inside the hub whilst you hoop (-:

Jowanna! I was just reading this thread for the first time and your crystal hoops are simply gorgeous! What a fantastic idea! The Pagan Girl Scout I'm mentoring is going to squeal when she sees these pictures. I feel a most unique scout craft project coming on!
