hey hoop teachers - I just had a great session with a high school dance team hooping for the first time. Gleeful, and engaged. So different from my other high school free class experience. :O) I wanted to share my first hoopyoga tutorial with y'all too - great at the end of class after floor/foot hooping, and then taking a mini rest (death by hooping/savasana) before closing. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wSEKkSXm3I

Hey, been teaching for a while and just had a real bummer of a class.  Some of my long-standing students who are both dedicated and some even better than I, just would not follow along with the hoop stuff that I was working with them on.  They sort of drifted off to do their own thing and so I responded by just asking everyone to just jam to music and try to get into a flow.   I was really deflated and questioned whether I should keep teaching.   I didn't even really want to spin after that.   Just really bummed.

Just posted an add under shopping on this site. Selling a Samson wireless headset/reciever. Great buy if you need one for your classes. Really makes a difference when you can amplify your voice over the music. Only headset I know of that does not require wearing a pack on your body.

I'm also on K&K, I paid $200 for the year. I don't even think about it, until a student got hurt and until some corporate entities asked about it for a class I was going to teach at a coop. It really gives piece of mind, and lends you a lot of credibility and professionalism as a teacher. Be aware that teachers insurance is NOT performer's insurance, and you need to get that too if you want to perform in some places.

Hey Stellar, you are Awesome!!!! I just called them.  It was so easy.  I wonder if they will give you a break for the referral.  (you could disregard my message.)
