Hey Jenny,

There's a good crew of us from Victoria.  We organize on facebook through the Victoria Flow Arts group.

I love off-body double mini hooping... poi hooping.  I recently got a pair of double mini fire hoops too... I'm working on ironing out the kinks with those.

Helloooo

I am thinking the time is ripe for a hoop show... whatdya say?  Wanna show your stuff, connect the circles and shine your light?

It will be in March 2011, Courtenay, Comox Valley.  The theme: "Happy Love Hoop Show", a performance just featuring hoopers. 

I am wanting this to be a fundraiser for a local charity (undecided but I am drawn to the women's transition house or a kid's charity). Hooping makes me so happy I want to share that.  Let's do some good for the world!

.....Bellyhoop, burlesque, sacred movement, hoop class performance pieces, hoop troupes, duos... what have you got to share?

Please get in touch with me soon to secure your spot on the roster.  We can talk about travel feasability, places to stay for out of towners etc.  What would you want to get out of it??

 

The vision is an evening stage show with 2 performance sets. Probably 12 performance pieces max.   Also I would like to have a short 5/6 piece afternoon matinee for the kids (keep the burlesque and edgier stuff for the night).

The event will be a seated, ticketed show with an early  ending - 11 ish.  I am going to offer it up to a local DJ to do an after party as a spin-off from the event....so we can let loose, have some fun and play after, spin fire if we want!
