I was wondering if anyone has used this in their diet?  I've read that it is a good additive for a vegan diet, and you sprinkle it on your veggies or food and it's like cheese?

I use it all the time and I love it! It is fat-free, an excellent source of B vitamins, and it has a wonderful sort of nutty flavor.

In my house the most common use for it is on popcorn. I pop popcorn in olive oil in a pot on the stove, then sprinkle it with a bit of salt and nutritional yeast. Sometimes I add a little garlic powder.
Currently the house favorite is salt, curry powder, and nutritional yeast.

You can also use it on baked potatoes and on salads. It can be made into a "Macaroni No Cheese" which comes out pretty good, and also PETA has a non-dairy "golden gravy" recipe using it. The gravy then can be made into a tofu pot pie, like a chicken pot pie using tofu. I used to make those a lot and they are DELICIOUS! ^_^
Rosetta's Kitchen in Asheville makes a vegan Queso dip served with with nacho chips and the base of the dip is nutritional yeast. YUM! My friend and I have to stop ourselves from licking the bowl in public.

Have fun looking for recipes!
Sounds amazing! We should share recipes!
I don't eat much popcorn now, but I really like it on popcorn. Yummy.
I love popcorn with nooch... I think I am going to make some tonight.
ya, i use it all the time! You can make really yummy cheesy sauces and creamy veggie bakes with it. I mix it with coconut milk alot. If, however, your trying to get your b12 from it, you have to remember that one serving is 3 TBSP, which is ALOT. I just finally broke down and bought a b12 supplement. Heres a really great and helpful site... otherwise, its great to have around!

I didn't like nooch at first, but now I really enjoy it. My favorite use is to mix it up with yogurt and salsa and use it as a dip for baked tortilla chips or on a baked sweet potato, in a wrap, or on nachos.

I just published this article, "Nutritional Yeast: 3 Vitamin-Rich Recipes for Vegetarians, Vegans, and the Rest of Us," on HubPages, which can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/y9scxsd

I've also been blogging about my nooch experiences quite a bit recently -- here are all my tagged posts: http://www.kitchencourage.com/search/label/nutritional%20yeast

Hope that helps!
Thanks for the info!! What brands does everyone suggest? Is it usually in a box or container when you purchase it?
I just buy it from Whole Foods bulk section (don't remember the brand). But that's one good place to get it, as much (or little) as you want.
I have always purchased it in bulk at various stores.

When you find it in bulk, it looks like it is really expensive, so much by the pound, but actually it is so light that you can get a lot of it for not much money.
I buy it from the bulk bins at my local co-op.
I like it. I use it on many things for flavor.
I use nutritional yeast (or "nooch," as my friends and I call it) ALL the time. My most common use for it is "greasy nooch noodles," which I just slather some pasta with Earth Balance margarine and cover it with nutritional yeast and some other spices (usually sriracha, bragg's, garlic powder, and salt). It is also great, as others have said, for cheesy sauces. My favorite recipe for such is kittee's no-queso quesadillas (http://pakupaku.info/quesadillas.shtml).

As someone else mentioned, I always buy it in bulk... way cheaper that way! And yes, a very good source of b12 especially, which is one thing lacking in many vegan diets.
