I LOVE acroyoga! I recently took a workshop w/ Eugene, Costa and Jessie from www.acroyoga.com from Montreal. So inspiring! You are so lucky to have an acro and hoop partner though! The possibilities!

that is great! Yeah I got my friend into hooping and now we are morphing into acroyoga as well. I need to work on being a base, Im very small and it seems to make me not as steady. But it is a wonderful time, the last time we did it was the first time we did back flying and the second I dropped onto her feet I couldnt stop laughing, It was pretty funny

I just did a workshop in Banff with Trevor and he is doing one in calgary. He called it Aerial Yoga. My husband dropped me on my head but other wise we had a great time. i have had some training in circus yoga and they do lots of flying!!. i would love to know where you got your "Flight manual". i also am getting a yoga sling ( check out omisswing and omgym) and hope to do some aerial stuff on my own so i don't get dropped again.

There's a really awesome resource, The Art of Acroyoga (tm) Manual - Acrobatics with a Yogic Consciousness, available from www.acroyoga.com, the founders of acroyoga. They're in Montreal. I'm thinking of taking their teacher training this summer. Soo much fun, deep connection, powerful core work. They have some vids on their website well worth checking out.

Joanne I am so sory to hear of your head drop! Tell me how that sling works out, I saw a video of one, it looks pretty interesting, and I got my manual here. And Jennifer I am going to look for that book right away! Im an addict!

wait Jennifer is it a book? or printed somthing? I cant seem to find it, if you have the time could you find me a link directly to it. Acroyoga.com isnt showing me any manual :(

HI Emily, they do sell a manual, I bought it at their workshop, but they may not sell it on their site. If you contact them, they'll sell you one possibly once you state your enthusiasm! Their manual is the BEST I've seen, so detailed, progressive, and thorough. http://www.acroyoga.com/ did you have a look at their vids? Costa is amazing, actually, they all are.

i did circus yoga teacher training and they do a lot of flying/partner yoga/acro yoga.  Depends on where you live.  circus yoga has teachers and workshops all over the US. check out the site.
