A Hooper's Christmas List

Posted November 5th, 2009

What to get for someone who's into hooping.

With the Halloween season behind us it seems that Christmas is right up ahead as friends and family members begin to probe for Christmas gift ideas. Coming up with a Christmas list can sometimes be difficult but it's well worth the time and effort if you don't want more gifts of body lotion, bath salts and scented candles. Have you even finished all the ones you got last year? If you haven't, then go take a bath right now and bring in a notepad and pencil to write out a few things you've been pining for.

If you have no idea what to ask for this year check out the list below. This list was inspired by Rachel's Journal Entry and includes gifts that would likely put a smile on any hooper's face. Click on the share buttons at the top or bottom of this article to send a link to friends and family.

Much love,
SaFire

Hoop Huggies make great gifts for hoopers. I've sold a few to people for Christmas/Birthday gifts to give to a hooper in their life. It's a creative, cute and easy way to carry up to 10 hoops at a time. If interested, go to www.charityhoops.etsy.com to purchase the last 2 that have been marked down to make room for more. Regular cost: $35....On Sale NOW for $29. Get them while they last!

Tape, tape, tape! It's an awesome present. You can spend just $5 on one roll for the stocking or a great big box full to put under the tree. And it's shiny and sparkly, just like Christmas. 4 months later you will still be enjoying it and you won't be wondering how many more baths you need to take with candles burning to get through the supply.

stocking stuffer ideas:
~ for illuminated hoopers: batteries (for led) and fuel (for fire)
~ for brand spankin' new hoopers: arnica montana (oral or topical) to minimize bruising
~ for hoopmakers (in addition to the above): tape (not sure if gift certs are available or not)

season's spinnings! :)

Great ideas! I think glow tape, glitter and holo, gaffers tape. Great stocking stuffers for those of us who love to retape or make hoops.

Swizzy Ape

a way out of the hoop

I'm stuck in a loop with the hula hoop. When I was a little girl I was abused in every which way. Often I was grounded to my bedroom, with two bathroom visits and a dinner release. In my bedroom held my boom box. Loud music would draw my angry step father towards my room. But I had to dance, so from a young age I would take a few preventable beatings so I could dance in my bedroom. Pretending I'm dancing on stage with Brain Setzer, I had trained myself to ingore reality while I dance. Even…

I haven't posted for a very long time, but I have something worth sharing.  In the last couple of years, I have advanced enough to start teaching and I absolutley love my classes.  All my students are wonderful its the most favorite part of my week. Through a very unfortunate series of events, every hoop I own, including my hoops for students, were taken and no longer in my possession. I was so upset ,not for myself, but my students would have nothing to take class with. There…
