Confused here ;-)  I am looking for distance training to teach at a dance studio where they teach Zumba.  I want a program where there is great training of course, promotional items or help in marketing, and possibly discount on items, etc.  Also, if there are questions with anything there is quick feedback or help available.  I have gotten some great advice so far.  I would appreciate any feedback or guidance.

I am interested in your distance teacher training, is it possible to do an instalment scheme as I haven't got all the cash upfront?

I guess I could buy the seeding classes first then save up......

Hi Meg, it means that when you are in the classroom you have full access to all the content and when you are ready to certify you complete seven assignments with no processing/grading/certification fee. Two years later you complete a new assignment (assignments listed in the classroom) and submit it for review (processing cost $50.00). This will allow me and yourself to reconnect as you continue to grow as an educator and it helps me confirm that you are still working actively as a hoop instructor and still concerned with your development.

SaFire, could you please explain what you mean when you say:

Valid for 2 years
Free the First Time
$50.00 Every time after

Does this mean that upon completing the program, you're only considered a certified teacher for two years? What do you do at the end of those two years? The certification goes away? I was hoping you could clarify that for me, thanks :)

I would suggest looking into Public Liability Insurance as well. I'm not sure what kind of liability teacher training programs provide. I do not insure my teachers, since it is a global training is it their responsibility to find insurance.

Its mostly legality issues im worried about. Coming from an energy therapy backround if u dont have the right massage or medical certification u can get sued for all your worth. So I was thinking mostly of getting hoop certified asap so that my current teaching is legal (idk if thats an issue or not) and wen I hav the money going back and taking the classes.

Tokyo: It is not mandatory to be certified or to do teacher training in order to teach classes. Since you have an education background you'll have an advantage in that you understand the learning process. If you already have a Bachelor of Education then really you'll want to consider why kind of class you'd like to offer and what training experience you wan to have. My program is very broad in the sense that it focuses on teaching in general, not just specific to hooping. Since you already have a teaching background you may be more interested in taking a program that will focus on other skill sets. HoopGirl's, Hoopnotica's and BodyHoops' are more fitness based and HoopRevolution is a mentoring program aimed to help you guide students in their hoop journey. Each program has their benefits and just like anything else, you'll get out of it what you put into it.

Arsyn. You'd have to contact individual providers to see if you could challenge the test. I would assume though that this is unlikely. Personally, I would not allow someone to challenge the test because the test and certification is not the point. The process is the point and without it, the program would not be a complete experience. Also, you have to ask yourself why you want to be certified. Is it so you can say "I'm certified" or is to have the growth experience that comes with taking a teacher training?

I recently started teaching a hoop class but am an art teacher already, so i'm wondering if it is necessary for me to become certified and which program would be the most beneficial?

Is there any way that I can challenge for my Instructors license/certificate? Because I dont have the money to take all the classes. I know most of the moves (of course I'll finish up learning the last few), and teach often and effectively. I have a large following on youtube who watch and learn from my tutorials. So instead of spending all the money and taking the classes and then testing. Can I just test without the classes? If I can, how and where?

i did hoopalicious' mentor training back in january...it was incredible. not only did i get to explore an incredible place (joshua tree) but i met a bunch of really wonderful people. The teacher training helped me be able to explain almost anything, and improve my skills tenfold. I also had the realization this morning that i'm not so sure it matters which training you do so much as just doing something wonderful for yourself. also take into consideration your values, are you interested in the technical aspects? spiritual? have fun :)

I have ahoop pal online that just past her hoopnotica training. I want to take the hoopnotica training when I can fine the extera funds. i here that people seem to be pretty happy with the program. I am superised they are not listed on hoop city with all the others.
