Hoop City is an online hooping community that was created by SaFire of SaFire Dance on January 18th, 2009. The City quickly grew to become one of the largest hooping sites online with thousands of members and tons of hooping related content. The site is run and moderated by SaFire and Snowzilla in Edmonton, Alberta. We hope you enjoy the City, have a look around and connect with the community.

Carla Snowzilla* Snow Snowzilla is a member and moderator of Hoop City, and a former student of SaFire. Snowzilla picked up her first hoop at an outdoor festival in the summer of 2008, and she quickly found herself spending countless hours spinning circles around her backyard or searching Youtube for as many tutorials as she could find. It was through Youtube that she discovered SaFire’s Clipstar video, and discovered that SaFire was teaching classes right there in her own hometown. Since stepping into SaFire’s classroom for that first beginner class, Snowzilla has continued her hoop journey through her intermediate and advanced classes, as well as travelling to Hoop Camp in Santa Cruz, which was a highlight of 2009, and a significant step in her progress as a hooper.
