I've heard time and time again to pay attention to your arms when you hoop, and I thought I was.....but now that I really have started to pay attention it's opened me up to so much flow with my hoop. I finally feel like I'm actually DANCING in my hoop!!! My boyfriend was watching me and he said that it has added so much to my hooping. My interest in hoop dance started to fade off a little bit before this summer. I felt like I was at a plateau and it was extremely frustrating. Then...I went to All Good festival and I'm happy to say that my love for hooping has been renewed. I realized that only through practice would I ever get over my plateau and improve! Hey hoopers! I'm having a little bit of a dilema. I use the studio at the YMCA to practice my hoop dance and the ladies there have taken a huge liking to it. (not suprisingly hehe) However, now they are asking me to do a hoop demo for their family night.

So I've had my LED hoop since Christmas but I've only gotten to use it a handful of times. The reason being that I only had a car charger. I read the instructions about charging it fully (for 10-12 hours) and then letting it fully lose charge before using it. Once I found that out I decided to not ruin it by only charging it for a little bit in my car. I just got my charger today and it's currently getting my lovely LED hoop ready to flow. =) I cannnn't waiiiiiit!

So I'll start with the more positive things because, well, I like to stay positive. =) I just bought Safire's Budding hooper class and I can't wait to start working on everything. So much new information already and she hasn't even got close to everything up yet. I'm also about to start a beginner Yoga class in a few weeks and I can't wait. I really think Yoga will help me become more intune to myself and my soul. It might even help me with the stifled expression I've been feeling…

It's amazing that everyone who expresses interest is so convinced that they just cannot learn to hoop but end up walking away with a skill or two and sometimes even buying a hoop from me! =)

- Hey you! You sent me a comment a long long time ago and I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. I just haven't been on this site since I signed up over the winter and I have no idea why... nevertheless, YAY for the Maryland hoopers =) There seems to be quite a shortage of us hoopers aside from a small group in the city and one out toward Ellicott City area so it's always nice to meet another one! :)
