How old are you? 21

When did you first start hooping? Bought my first hoop at Shambhala in August of 2008, didnt get into hooping until Jan/Feb 2009

Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper? Advanced? it is hard to classify hoopers, everyone has their own style!

How often do you hoop? Depends on the weather/ my mood, 1/2hr to 1hr a day. Sometimes less, more in the summer!!

Do you have an indoor hoop space? I live in a condo but I manage to find room in my open kitchen/dining/living space. Im tall and im scared im going to hit the sprinkler and soak the place...

Is there a hoop group where you live? Kinda..

Did you start it? Yes, I had it running from May 24 - June 14th. Planning on doing it again next summer for a longer period of time

Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping? Slightly

Have you posted hooping videos? How many? A couple

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with? My friends hoop but arent as into it as I am. I know a couple other hoopers I met through my hoop group.

Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught? Yes just started teaching a hooping class, 6 people in the class

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping? Alternative, electronic, hiphop.

Do you buy hoops or make your own? Make my own.

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop? No clue, don;t own a scale.

What size is your favorite hoop? 3/4 prob 38" diameter

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place? Yah, I did it before when I barely knew anything so now that I actually know some moves its sweet! lol

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers? At first you suck, then you practice and get better, then you look back and laugh at the times you could barely get it around your waist! Practice makes improvement, don't give up!

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to? I recently got one

Do own an LED hoop? Where did you get it? Yep I made a prodmod one!

How much time do you spend on safiredance.ning? too much - hope my coworkers don't see lol

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)? It was lifting the hoop up to laso from the front, my sham friend showed me :)

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn? chest, but I mastered it now.

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get? reverse current chest hooping

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city? just a few

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience? Once at a belly dance event, hoping to do more

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop? Sore muscles (should be stretching), bruises on my chest/collar bone from chest hooping.

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one? Planning on going to Hoop Camp 2010
