"Well. I was sad and surprised to see the new 'hoop city' site this morning. It is unfortunate that we wont have this forum anymore. I found daily practice before I had even hit my 'one month hoopiversary'. The support and advice…"
Good Luck with those elbow moves!
Glad you fixed up your hoop. :) I totally get what your saying about just enjoying the flow. I sort of flop between complete structure and only flow for weeks at a time. When I start to feel stagnant in…"
"Happy new year!
I am not posting daily on Hooping.org, but I am participating in my own challenge. Part of my new years goals are to get more focused on my hooping and fitness. My hooping goal is to practice for an hour a day 6 days a week. That…"
"Morning all :)
Finally getting back into a more regular routine of practice. I have got in about an hour for a few days in a row now. I also have fire practice planned for tonight, so I will keep the streak going. My hope is that I can go into the…"
"Happy hoopiversary, Kamala! Glad you got a good outdoor hoop session to celebrate.
Last night I hooped for about 45 minutes, the best session i've probably had all december. Started with sitting on the floor, drilling breaks & isos.…"
Glad that you are starting to feel like yourself again. I LOVE head hooping, I haven't watched any tutorials either, but something about it seems so therapeutic & relaxing. For me, I make really big, slow circles with my head and…"
"Love the music this week. Gogol Bordello has been a long time favorite of mine. If you ever get a chance to check them out live, I HIGHLY recommend. Top 5 all time live shows for sure :)
Hoop things have been good. Some days I feel in a rut, and…"
"Agree, Loop. I feel like this year has been just a blink.
I had a pretty busy weekend, but lots of hooping. Although I have been hooping regularly, I have felt that my doubles have been the same flow for a while. Last night I was hooping and found…"
Hope everyone has been well.
I'm doing fairly well getting my practice in. We are shooting a professional demo vid so I have been striving for an hour a day recently. Some days I make it, others not so much. I took a wedgie workshop…"
"hope everyone had a nice Halloween weekend. I enjoyed dressing up and eating candy with my babies. I also got in a burn with my fire fans after trick or treating. I got in some pretty good hoop time yesterday, probably about 2 hours over the course…"
"What a neat idea! I am going to start thinking about what album might be good for this. I already have a few in mind.
About my hooping last week. For the most part, I got in 30 min to an hour every day until friday. My little rescue pup had some…"
"I've been keeping up with daily hooping. Yesterday I got in about an hour total. Half an hour or so over small hooping breaks during a nature walk with the family in the morning. Then I practiced with my unlit fire hoop for about half an hour…"
Who is your hoop mamma or papa? (The person who introduced you to hooping)
The interweb, Julie Haley
Who's hoop style do you love? i.e. Who inspires you?
I love experimenting with all styles, slow and flowy, techy, ninja breaks, multiHoop & FIRE :)
What is your goal for 2014 and why is it important? (Doesn't have to be hoop related.)
Hooping started as a way for me to get outside with my kids and become more active. Now, it has become much more than that. I have a tool to decrease stress and improve stamina; I feel like I can be a better mom. I am happier and more confident, so I can be a better wife. I have no expectations for this next year with my hoop, I just want to continue on this journey, spreading hoop love to everyone along the way!
