Sustained Spinning

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 11:39am 0 Comments

I have been practicing spinning, still not too good at it cuz I get dizzy too fast. But today I finally felt it! for one fleeting moment, the euphioria of just spinning,my hoop and I were finally one! Where I moved my hoop moved,it responed to every slight touch! Then all the coffee I had drank began sloshing around in my tummy :( and I had to stop, falling to the floor from the dizziness. But the euphoria was still there, laughing as I tumbled to the floor! I don't think I have ever felt so…

how to put the "dance" in hoopdance??

Posted on April 3, 2011 at 8:39pm 0 Comments

I began hooping almost a year ago...I began learning a few tricks and didn't really take it that seriously. I decided to take a hoopdance class and that has helped me tons! I began with the beginners course it made a lot of the tricks I learned at home much, much easier. I hoop at home almost an hour or more a day and have learned tricks we have not yet covered in the tricks and flow class. I feel like as far as tricks I'm doing really well and catching on quickly, but as far as putting it all…

Finally!! what I have been searching for!!

Well It's been a few months since I began hooping. It's going quite well, I have found myself becoming more comfortable with my hoop and finding a little flow! What I have discovered along the way, when I begin moving to music and begin to find my flow I feel a total release,a sort of calm. I feel I have finally found my form of creative expression! I have been looking for an outlet for many years! I have always considered myself a creative person but alas,I cannot write,I cannot paint or draw,…

First weeks of hooping

Posted on August 26, 2010 at 10:14am 0 Comments

Well I'm in my first weeks of hooping and I think it's going pretty well! I have learned a few basic tricks and am trying to learn to flow with the hoop, I think thats the hardest part of all! I think it would be a little easier if I had more space but I make do with what I've got :) there is a nice hoopy space in the back of my apartment but it is the communal doggie bathroom....gross! So I will stay inside for now until I become more comfortable with my hooping skillz!!

Hey beautiful hooper!  I haven't been on here in ages so it was awesome to see you friend request.  Your hooping looks great.  Hope to run into you soon or we should just make a hoop play date =)
