Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper? I would say intermediate... still...

How often do you hoop? depends, maybe 2 times a week

Do you have an indoor hoop space? yes :)

Is there a hoop group where you live? no, there are maybe 3 more hoopers in my hometown... sometimes we meet, but we are all at the same level, so we learn everything from the internet....

Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping? kind of

Have you posted hooping videos? How many? one comedy fire hooping video from our fire convention in Germany. I am planning a new one...

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with? the mentioned 3 girls

Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught? Yes I am just starting. I taught on juggling conventions and now I am going to teach a workshop in a bellydance studio...

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping? electro swing! and spanish music by Rosario Flores, which is also very inspiring to me

Do you buy hoops or make your own? I am not very skilled in making anything on my own ;) thats why I am buying them... but we have our own onlineshop so I can get them tehre ;)

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop? no

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place? not always - but with the firehoop on stage I feel very comfortable...

How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today? All from the Internet!

Who is your favorite hoop teacher? videos from Safire, Spiral, Shatki Sunfire, Brecken

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers? Enjoy it! Try always to freestyle as much as you can to get into the flow... and chose the right music. I also learnt that it is very nice to experiment with the timing, slow moves and very fast moves and with the different levels, floor etc.

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to? Yes, I only started hooping because I wanted to firehoop...

How much time do you spend on Hoop City Hooping Community? Some hours a week

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)? The shimmy up with arms

What is the last trick you mastered? maintaining 3 hoops (knees, chest, arm) and hooping to my other current whichwas really hard. still working on the knee hooping to the other current.

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn? maintaining 2 to 3 hoops

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get? 4 Hoops, 5 Hoops! Hooping to the other direction, breaks and reverses

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city? Maybe 3,4 - its still not so popular here in Germany...

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience? yes with the firehoop during our fireshows and led hoops

Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop? no

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop? still no bad injuries... only bruises

Have you ever hooped naked? not yet... good idea! edit: ok, know I've tried it... very funny!

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one? yes, to the first hula hoop convention in Germany, september 2010, the second one in 2011. and then to many fire, juggling and acrobatic conventions... there are not many possibilities here unfortunately... would love to have all those classes and retreats that you have in USA
