I have a bad habit of doing everything else (laundry, clean up, dishes, meals, on and on...) before I give myself a chance to hoop. SO I'm learning don't wait, just do it. I will hoop with baby in arms, maybe you can play a game of…"
I'm kinda new to hooping and I want to get more practice with Clevelanders, but I'm not sure where to look. I hooped a little at the Hessler Street fair but the ladies that were hooping next to me weren't interested in talking to me... kinda weird. Anyway, where can I meet up with some Cleveland hoopistas?
"Hi, I'm Audrey and I am relatively new to hooping. When I had just started a would dance all sexy like in my living room even though I could barely keep the hoop up. Seems burlesque hooping is just my style!"
"My husband is always willing to watch baby zora when I need to hoop. I get outside around 4-5 days a week as long as it's not raining day after day! I am joining a gum with my sister ( cheaper)! They offer child services so I can bring her…"
"I have a 3 year old and 19 month old..I hoop every night, even if I am exhausted. Once you get hooping for 5 minutes your body creates the energy for you! Our family is on a pretty good rhythm through our days. So everything usually happens around…"
"I am in the same situation. I have a toddler and an infant, and when one is not crying and demanding attention the other is trying to catch my hoop in mid air with his head! I usually make time during nap time. I didn't used to do specific time…"
We're not even that busy! And all I want is an hour a day, but it's so hard to find, or rather, demand. When I'm home with the littles, they gravitate toward my hoop or ask me for something or turn off my music, or... GAH! By the time they are in bed, I'm exhausted from the day and I just want to sit down. I'm thinking of getting up earlier, but I know, know, KNOW that they'll hear me and come join in on the fun. And it's bad enough that I don't have a ton of space in the house so I can't just…See More

"As a newbie, I was kinda inspired by this post, as controversial as it may be. It reminded me to just do me, and showed me that there are other hoopers that want to rock out in their hoops. It made me feel good about hooping to J-Zay, Foo…"
"hmm.. probably when you start getting the urge to try more speedier tricks? i've found i enjoy the heavier hoops when learning tricks because it helps keep the hoop moving... i did have a 1/2" tubing hoop that a friend made for…"
"no don't worry you started with the right size & weight. heavier is generally easier to learn with. i started with a BodyHoop and those are much heavier. some people start with 5 pound sports hoops. excercise just makes you sore.you using…"
What is your goal for 2013 and why is it important? (Doesn't have to be hoop related.)
I'm just starting to hoop. I learned as a child, but let it go once I got older. My goals are to learn again, learn to hoop dance and find a physical activity that makes me smile! I would love to hoop at Nelson's Ledges this summer.
