A costum

FINALLY I have things that I want to wear when i'm hooping. I have two looks.... a geannie and a clown/princess/butterfly look :)
Fake eye lashes, a pink skirt with shear fabrics of bright colors hanging down (it was a 6 year old hollween costum that i altered) and all I need is a sweat heart top, and to make a pair of fuzzy leg warmer, something i thought i would NEVER DO, but I have fallen in love with them as well :)
My geannie costum is teal saten pants, with a teal…

Trying things in reverse is, well...trying! But I’ve seen HUGE progress this week! I really feel I'm getting to know my hula hoops all over again. And I love tem even more. I'v also been listening to VCQ a lot and it's been helping with my flow. I am getting great at sustained spinning and can really feel how the hoop is moving around my body. I am using my body in whole new ways and really experimenting with lines. Also, multi hooping break through. I got to 3! Still needs a lot of work. But I…

I feel I have been absent from the hooping world for some time. I know that where ever I end up I must have some kind of grass or other soft serfice (even cement!). I have been out in the south west with rocks and prickly… well everything and I have extremely callused feet. My new house has a landing pad that I don’t park in so I can hoop on, but I still long for the New England grass (I know grass is a mono culture that sucks up water and all that jazz ) I have also been absent from hoop city…

I think I finally got it. It only took a year, but I feel uber comfortable with my hoop. I really feel like it is my dance partner. It's nice, because I know this partner isn't going to leave like friends or boyfriends. I almost feel alone when I don't have my hoop. Also, hooping to blue grass is wonderful.…
