it could also be electrical tape, you can stretch that stuff out a lot and make it do fun things. frustrating as hell to get an even spiral with it though

Theoretically, yes.  However, the key to poi burnoffs is to "throw the poi down" and yank the wick back as it hits the bottom of the curve.  This causes most of the fuel to go down instead of up and out.  IF you could manage…

Are Burn-offs possible with fire hoops?

Hello everyone!  Are burn offs (like the kind you can do with poi) possible with fire hoops? I understand that this will probably void any warranty on a fire hoop and could mess it up a lot in the long run- if I even try it will be with a very very old fire hoop that's falling apart already (not my baby performance fire hoop from Sacred Flame!). I was thinking that it might be possible if you do a skip-it type move, but I'm not sure how the fire will spread around it. Has anyone here attempted…See More

Amazing follow-up on my gym frustrations!

Earlier this week my friend and I encountered problems when we tried to go to the gym at school and hoop in the aerobics room. We were told that we couldn't use the room unless we had an instructor present, since things had been stolen from the room. It was really upsetting but we set up an appointment with the director to work it out for next semester. Things went great at the meeting! She asked us if we'd be interested in holding classes! Google Insights- see the rise of hula hooping by tracking search terms

In my internet surfing this morning I came across this awesome tool Google has called Google insights. It tracks Google searches over time. Below is the rise of "hula hoop" as a search term since 04! They even tag the lines when there's a big-hitting news article. Infographics geeks can drool over it for hours! You can also tailor it to show regional searches, weekly searches, whatever you need to know. It could probably be used as a great way to determine where to move if you're looking…
