I've been downsizing recently. It started when I began a new job in January and realized that the new pants I'd just bought a month earlier were too big. I'd been losing weight without knowing it, which was odd since I was not hooping or exercising (foot injury) and not really paying attention to what I was eating. At the end of 2009, I had a bit of a scare. My doctor said I had Type 2 diabetes. Turned out to be a bad test result, but the prospect of the D word was what propelled me into my first hoop.

I'm in the process of writing a three-book fantasy series in which hooping plays a major role. I can handle photo manipulation software okay, but I'm not sure I can manage to execute my vision for the book covers.
