Flexi Spine V Rigid Spine HDPE V PolyPro

a spine on my synergy hoop unthreaded and collapsed...very very sad about it... now investing in a new hoop and cant decide between HDPE and Polypro (because polypro does warp in heat) and rigid and flexi spine - rigid are heavier but flexi may break again.....ADVICE PLEASE ANYONE!!! XXXX

OUCH!! Hoop Hurty!

Posted on September 25, 2009 at 3:40pm 2 Comments

My worst injury to date, even though I bruise easily I am used to ones one my knees and upper arms from doing breaks. But yesterday i was still mastering foot hooping using only a lightweight hoop when it flew off and banged me between the eyes...it stunned me and made me cry!

I am using lots of arnica right now in all forms but have almost a black eye...I'll leave practising foot hooping again until next week...:-)

Fire Night!

Posted on September 10, 2009 at 2:48am 4 Comments

Last night I lit my fire hoop for the first time, I was with friends and our children, we had a fire, made wishes on paper and put them in the fire. We lit a sky lantern and had fire poi

...and then with adrenaline coursing through my veins, and my heart beating with nerves and excitement....I stood inside my hoop, as two friends lit the wicks...it felt ritualistic and special, the children were whooping, my female friends were encouraging...

And then I was off....the roar…

Blissed Out Hooping

My first real pratice at sustained spinning.

A beautiful, september day, cloudless sky, a peaceful garden in the park, my only audience - 2 doves...

No thoughts, no ego, just spinning with my my hoop.... I feel so peaceful and calm :-)

Hey Clare! I'll be moving to Brighton from Sydney soon - very excited - and wondering what the hoop scene is like there?

Hey Clare, hope you don't mind the random add but living out in the sticks means I kinda need to make hooping buddies wherever possible :p
Hopefully see you sometime for some hooptastic fun :) x

I've just been getting way to into learning new tricks and stuff...I can't stop. I would say its the best addiction I could ever have.

I love the rain!! It can't decide what to do in Connecticut..it rains for ten minutes and then its sunny for the rest of the hour. Repeat that cycle about 24 times....thats what the days have been like

It was 91 and muggy today, so even though it was sunny outside, it was to too hot to go out and hoop. Our nice weather should be coming soon!!!!!
