"I started with 25", have a pair of 30" so I can multihoop on body as well as do poi style things, and I just got a pair of 20"s that are amazing, I would say going with 24" like you're planning to do is a great idea... right…"

Liquid Lucy replied to the discussion 'What size minis to start with?'
"Depends... I think it's best to start bigger and work your way down. Moves like the buzz saw can be worked on later with smaller one... In the beginning, work on straight planes with larger hoops... Just my opinion."

Isabel replied to the discussion 'What size minis to start with?'
"20" is perfect for me so that I don't hit myself in the face while doing things like the buzzsaw, but it's much easier to learn most of the other tricks on hoops a few inches larger. That said, I'm stubborn and have used 20"…"

"Make sure your minis aren't too heavy!  Use thinner material or you can severely damage your wrists."

Tink in Tokyo replied to the discussion 'What size minis to start with?'
"As a rule of thumb, your minis should fit the length of your arm - wrist to bust point - in order to let you do any of the inside isolations and spins. Anything larger will get caught in your armpit. Smaller is OK."

Hi, Danielle. I need someone to try out a prototype for a push button collapsible made of the 1/2" 125 psi tubing. The hoop is free, but you would have to choose from the colors I have available. If you are interested, let me know.
