"Thanks Alli! I will definitely go for a lighter hoop and just keep working on it...I have carpal tunnel, and wonder if it's not all sort of inter-related with the rotator cuff. I notice that the girls who do alot of isos have such great upper…"

"I had pain in my shoulders when I first started doing so much offbody hooping. In fact, I had it before I even started. I dislocated my shoulder and used off body hooping as a means of rehabing my shoulder. I took it slow and didnt overdo it, and…"

"Hi...thanks alot for all the info...love the bird. Love your pants! I'm going to bookmark your video. It's really a good one, with alot of explanation! I'm making my own, smaller, lighter one, and I'm sure I will get the knack of…"

"Wow...I'm impressed with all your answers...I like a heavy hoop, so it is probably too heavy, and maybe just a bit too big. I will make a smaller one, and WARM UP first, and watch some more videos and be careful...you all make it look so easy,…"

"The shoulder is one joint that is not really a joint. It doesn't rotate inside a socked and, instead, consists of hanging muscles that support bone. There could be any number of reasons why this is causing you pain. My first thought is,…"

"I have felt a great deal of pain after practicing iso. because i would only use one side of my body to do it. So it's like hoopers hip (hooping only in one direction will cause pain over time) but in my shoulder. Try using your other hand when…"

"How heavy a hoop are you using? It really helps to lighten up, especially if you have weak joints. You can really hurt yourself seriously by overdoing it, so listen to your body! Wrists & rotator cuffs can take a LONG time to heal once the…"

"It's hard to trouble shoot without seeing you do it in a video. IT does take quite a bit of time to "get" and when you are first learning your arms HURT... muscle hurt. I wouldn't keep doing it if it is causing pain... it may be…"

Arm Isolations w/ shoulder pain?

I am really trying to learn how to do arm isolations, but I feel like it hurts my shoulders. I have watched tons of videos, and it's ok for the first couple tries, but I have a feeling i'm missing something. It does not feel smooth and natural at all. Any suggestions?

Florida is the place to be if you like the heat. I enjoy the sun but not the heat. I am indoor hooping until October.
