When did you first start hooping?
I was introduced to modern hooping June 16, 2010. I got my first hoop June 24, 2010.

Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper?
I am the newbie-est of the newbies ^.^

How often do you hoop?
I just started today, but I can see myself doing it every day that the weather permits (my apartment is too small for my large beginner hoop)

Do you have an indoor hoop space?
I wish! That would be awesome! Alas, I am in a tiny apartment. Once I get better at hooping and can use a smaller hoop, though, I should be able to manage a space! :)

Is there a hoop group where you live?
Yes! I just found out today about a weekly spinjam group about an hour away! ^.^

Did you start it?
Nope. I don't plan on starting one for a while... gotta get good at hooping first!

Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping?
Yes, I am already! I've only just started and I already wish I could do it all day every day!!

Have you posted hooping videos? How many?
Gotta take videos first! :D

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with?
One of my friends nearby does hoop, but she's in the south for a while. :(

Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught?
BAHAHAHA! Hard to teach when you've just started! lol

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping?
I tend to like upbeat, electronic/techno type beats - the ones that keep you in a fast pace or can work in a slower, meditative groove. Gotta have music at all times! :)

What is your favorite song right now?
It's ever-changing... My "favorite" can even change multiple times in the same day!

Do you buy hoops or make your own?
buying for now, but I'd love to learn to make my own!

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop?
I'll let you know when it's been more than a day :)

What size is your favorite hoop?
Well, my only hoop right now is a Large Power Hoop from HoopingHarmony.com - so it's 3/4" and the diameter is 45"

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place?
not as of yet since I suck slightly... I'm gonna try it at a public beach this weekend though!

How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today?
well, the only stuff I know right now I learned from Laura Marie at Hooping Harmony!

Who is your favorite hoop teacher?

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers?
I guess just to be happy and stick with it... I know I will! :)

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to?
Right now, the idea of that frightens the heck outta me. I can just picture my skin catching on fire and think about how sensitive my skin is to a hot dinnerplate, nevermind an actual flame!

Do own an LED hoop? Where did you get it?
not yet, but it's on my list! The ones at hooping harmony look the smartest right now cause the switch is on the inside so it doesn't get accidentally turned on or off.

How much time do you spend on Hoop City Hooping Community?
I've been on here basically every day since my friend told me about it ^.^

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)?
I'll let you know when I learn one! lol! (it'll probably be taking it for a ride though ^.^)

What is the last trick you mastered?
waist hooping... if you can call it "mastered" lol! I'm still working on keeping it from falling lol

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn?
since I only know waist-hooping right now, I'd have to say that ^.^

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get?
Haven't really tried any... but right now the hooping on one shoulder looks very difficult for me... I have small shoulders...

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city?
I know of 1 ^.^

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience?
nope!

Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop?
I can imagine that people will start telling me that very soon lol

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop?
well, it didn't happen to me... it happened to my hoop! I thought I had enough room in my tiny apartment, but my hoop collided with the dresser and a small section of the tape got scraped. DX

Have you ever hooped naked?
um... no.

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one?
no but I bet that would be pretty awesome!
