How time flies.

Posted on October 8, 2009 at 3:30pm 0 Comments

It's funny how time flies. We don't even notice it, yet the calendar tells us time is moving on. The weather even announces the change and yet we sometimes stand there and don't take notice - or refuse to see it.

Where did summer go? Where are those warm days, perfectly made for hooping? Seems I don't really recall much of summer. Did I really hide my head so deeply in my pain this summer that summer just slipped by, sadly noticing my lack of attention to it.

I'm sorry…

Hey everyone - I did it....made my first pair of (super) mini hoops!!... I joined the mini hoop class and realized that the 20" size were something I would need. So I just went out and made them....made due with electrical tape for now....I will order some cool stuff soon :)

I know the pic is bad...it's from my phone, late and I'm holding hoops in hand and the phone, haha...but there they…

collection of hoops

It's official, I'm getting hooked on hooping. Bought my first hoop from from Becca "hulahoopgoddess@gmail.com", got my second one (a collapsable one that I can bring with me to Denmark in June from "BodyHoop"). Having Becca make me two small hoops and one to match my first one. :-) so I can multi-hoop.

So sorry to hear about your bunny. I love the pictures of the new bunnies. Hooping again and the new bunnies will help you to feel better, it takes time.

Thanks for your kind comments on my video. The stiring the pot jump-in is super fun! I hadn't seen it until Safire posted the tutorial in her Intermediate Hooper's series. It's definately a fun, unique addition to any hoop dance.

Nichole, Thanks, Yes, I know...it's a little frustrating. I always start out strong learning things picking them up quick and I've plateaued and I don't like it, haha. I'll keep practicing getting my back leg keeping it up and see if I improve. One weekend, I was on a roll and could kick start it from the ground and bring it right up from knees to waist and then to chest...was on a roll...but I'm in a rut. I'm a left current type of hooper. I'm going to Denmark in June (3 weeks for work - been working on making some collaspable hoops so I can bring them with me. Hoping to get some cool pics with me and the little mermaid statue. But couldn't imagine leaving my hoops for 3 weeks. Have hoops...will travel...with them, ha. Have a great weekend. Di

Hey babe! I know what you mean!!! It was the most frustrating thing I have learned so far! Also when i first tried it I seemed to catch on pretty quick but after a little bit it was downhill for me too! lol Isnt that funny? I switched from the heavy hoop to a lighter one for a little bit until I could get it down more often (like 3 out of ten tries). Then I went back to the big heavy hoop which was easier because its slow and I can feel the flow better. I hope this video helps for you....if its all wonky it could be because your not using the other leg in the back. Do you hoop to the right or left? Let me know how its going and we will get it by working together I promise! ;)
