So lately I've had to deal with criticism for my unwillingness to shave under my arms, particularly from my mom who thinks it's "DISGUSTING!!!" and my boyfriend who apparently just gets weirded out…

I need some good solid info :]

I'm quite certain that I'm going to be dreading my hair soon, but any online searches I've done on starting them have just given wayyyy to much info for me to really sort and make sense of. Do you have any good sources for dread starting, upkeep, washing, etc. or just some good advice or whatever? On another post, someone shared a great YouTube channel for it, but I'd like some text stuff too. I will be starting Hoopdance Classes at the YMCA April 25th. Come out and Hoop it up!

 

Also there are free jams Mondays night at 1WorldCommunity Center (55. West Broadway) starting at 5 PM-6 :30 PM. Come and play!

hey girl! 

your in memphis- i'm in cape girardeau, mo about 200 miles to the north. i've seen some of your searching for hoop buddies and some of your success (btw, HELL YEAH!) wish i could have gone to cake that one night. i've never replied to your posts cause im usually so busy (still am) but your recent one about seeking a healthier lifestyle really caught me. there is a huge wealth of knowledge out there and twice as many people who possess it and want to share. a great jump off point is to visit a local, smallish health food store. forget whole foods, trader joes, gnc etc. go somewhere the people will be willing to talk to you and spend some time. while we can't legally offer advice to treat or cure and all that jazz like a doctor can, we usually know our stuff and have made the changes your looking for right now. and really LOVE helping others!

i think a cleanse, cutting out junk, and seeking more veg/vegan options are a great jumping off point! 

and remember... you got your friends!!!!!!!
